Big green thing, yellow scales (I think).

Everyone he was with, like the eight-year-old girl he lives next to, were dressed completely normally. There was no evidence of a fancy dress party, and clearly we're past Hallowe'en. Perhaps the kid lives in a house where the water supply is drugged.

All because I wanted to see how that stupid huge house near the top of the hills looked at night. I thought the tower it has would be lit up. Just the large kitchen...and yet, no signs of life, as always.

The Pianist is pretty good. Paths of Glory was good, but it would've been MUCH better if, at the beginning, the general had actually used the heavy guns on the soldiers. Best black comedy ever.

Downfall isn't REALLY a war film, TBQH. And despite the fact the Third Reich and Hitler are fascinating, it was actually a little bit boring to watch. That rant scene gave us many happy moments on YouTube, though. I like the one where Hitler's ranting about the USS Odyssey got destroyed. Poor dude. ;_;

...in the future. Pretty minor release, kinda surprised it got a physical release at all. Some games don't.

The game itself looks like a lot of fun, with side-scrolling platforming and some seemingly really good score attacking. Graphics looked kinda good, but not exactly 9th gen, and not particularly amazing 8th gen.

Does anyone actually own it? It is a good game? How is the score attack in it?

When you think about it, with regards to Nazi Germany, Hitler did actually basically achieve his goals.

1. Either win World War 2, or, if Germany lost, fight to pretty much the last man.
2. Rid Europe of most of its Jews, either through driving them away or killing them.

He actually achieved the 2 main things he set out to achieve. Perhaps events didn't turn out quite how he wanted, but I expect he wasn't THAT unhappy. In his twisted little mind, he had basically "won" the situation, and probably thought the Germans would really respect him after his death.

I read an interesting Wiki some time ago, about the psychopathology of Hitler, where people in more recent times have speculated about his mental health, and what might've been wrong with it. Some people have suggested he had had schizophrenia, which would explain why he had those paranoid delusions about the Jews and the socialists being responsible for most of the problems with the world.

I think for my short story collection, if it gets written, I think I would be better to make it quite a lot shorter, for various reasons, such as it's not the "done" thing, writing a really long short story collection. With the format I've got in my head, it would no longer be 500 pages, but rather about 350 pages. But there's so many years of Germany to cover, and so much to say. ;_;

Some a lot of pretty entertaining stuff this year. Highlights were Cries and Whispers, Loving Vincent, Three Billboards, The Last Jedi, How to Talk to Girls at Parties, Splice, Bohemian Rhapsody, The Excorism of Emily Rose, and HealtH. Some great films, right there. Some overrated stuff includes First Man, and quite a few of the Bergman films. Special mentions to the weirdest films: Brewster McCloud, Daisies, Black Hollow Cage, and that Hollis Frampton film. Nothing really dreadful on the list, that I can think of it, although there's the mediocre and bad stuff, like Vincent and Theo, The Meg, They Live.

What do you think of this stuff? Seem much of it? I suppose it's a mix of recognised classics and really obscure film buff stuff. Seen anything really good yourself, this year?

To be fair, I've spent plenty of time playing fighting games in one player mode, especially Soul Calibur 1. As long as the game is good, and has a reasonable amount of content to play through by yourself, like perhaps a story mode, or at least an arcade mode where you unlock stuff, it's worth getting for just yourself.
