Simulation theory and the general non-engagement of other people. Personally I view NPCs as less of a political issue and more of a social critique on how people seem to be in autopilot mode and not really thinking about anything aside from the what's on the nearest screen.

Nah, the meme is about how SJWs talk about how unique and special people are in the most cookie cutter way possible, indicating a zero thought approach to the word. It goes with the misleading research implying a significant portion of the population don't have any mental imagery or even have a thinking voice, which was expressed as NPC theory.

It's such solid memery as every SJW talking point is so poorly thought out that it can be expressed in a few lines of javascript.

it for sure did not start out as being directly geared toward either side of the political spectrum

yes, the original post did include people who say "TRUMP IS HITLER"

but it also included "SPORTSBALL" and "THE NEW ADELE SNG XD OMG"

its directed at anyone whose identity is defined by group think and social trends in order to "appear convincingly human"

certainly a large portion of the left falls into that category, but youd be foolish to think there arent also a ton of people on the other side of the spectrum or in the middle who are more or less the same way.

They're the kind of people who make a show of discomfort when you break the status quo by breaking the normie barrier to invoke a real discussion. its like in vidya when you accidentally talk to somebody twice and they give you the exact likes word for word once more.
