There's not much of a feeling of adventures, and the "dungeons" are at their most basic here, but at least bosses (totems/kahunas/other) actually have EVs, IVs, and relatively good AI

IIRC he was 10 in the original series and then gradually aged up in the later series and now he's 10 again because the current series pretty much decided to reboot the continuity and ignore the fact that any of those other series exist.

if by "gradually" you mean timeskip 5 years from one series to the next, then have that one and the following 2 series happen over the course of 2 years (he's 15 in AF, 16 in UA and OV, though he maaaaay have been 17 by the end) with the occasional flashback to his 11 y/o adventures in the last series

Besides, Go is like, OK enough for me.

The show however was still doing very well ratings wise and in toys sales. There never was a reason why the show ended and it pissed a lot of fans off.

it's the entire Cartoon Network broadcast schedule and it's a fully comedic spin-off of a balanced show that people felt ended abruptly and wanted to return so people hate it on principle

yeah, I mean, compare it to the ben 10 reboot, which fans are angry about, but not nearly as much (more in a "this doesn't even need to exist" way), because it doesn't eat the whole schedule, the original ben 10 continuity had a good conclusion (even if omniverse as a whole was very controversial), and it wasn't that long since omniverse ended anyways, so it didn't feel like rubbing salt at the wounds of viewers
