Okay so I don't know if it's actually in safe mode but it's actually working now. It took about 5 or so minutes to get past the welcome screen but once it did, the desktop showed up. I can access the internet and other files. I think I'm going to back everything up right now so I'll have to go buy a 1 terabyte hard drive or something.

Try when youre in the task manager to run explorer.exe from file > run new task.

It doesn't do anything, it actually causes task manager to x out

So my computer is starting up to a black screen and the mouse cursor is visible, and I can move it around

I can at least access task manager while in black screen mode but yea, can't do anything else

Hopefully that means its not entirely dead and salvable
