Given how most of this script was written pre-Undertale, I would not be shocked if this game mimiced the Scratch event in Homestuck, creating the Undertale universe/timeline in the process. This game's tone feels more akin to Homestuck x Persona 4 compared to Undertale being a glorified Mother 3 remake.

Noelle has sooooo many death/cruelty bait flags that it is honestly hilarious. I am curious as to how she will develop in the full game. Suzie is best girl.

I wonder if "canon" Kris has a crush on Susie himself given the library talk and how he takes certain actions on his own to protect her / apparently gets annoyed if people bad mouth her. It would be neat seeing that surface depending on what Noelle does

Yeah, there's been some discussions about that.

However, people noticed that Sans said Toriel asked him to keep Kris away from chocolate because they'd eat all of them, establishing a connection to Chara's love of chocolate (also a piece of dialogue where if you choose 'NO' when the game asks you to smell the markers at the school, the narration says something like 'whatever, the chocolate ones smell fake anyway').
And things like hiding under Noelle's bed or pretending to be bleeding using ketchup and such are also Chara-like things.

So other than my 'Chara took over Kris in the epilogue', it can also be either Chara = Kris (directly or with alternate universe shenanigans), Chara took over the 'real' Kris like with Frisk since years ago, or they just share the same love for chocolate and macabre humor.

One thing for sure, it was Kris 'we' were controlling at the beginning since the save file said Kris before our first save over it.

There's also the little thing with having Kris eating the Choco Diamond giving him way more health akin to how giving Susie Hearts Donut gives her more HP

I have a theory that the Angel's Heaven is actually Hometown.

In Undertale, the info we get about the angel is as such:
There is a prophecy. The Angel... The One Who Has Seen The Surface... They will return. And the underground will go empty.

The one who has seen the surface are Asriel and Chara.

Asriel would find Hometown akin to a heaven (Chara is more of a psycho), since it's full of the monsters living in the underground but they're living free above ground and have a normal, functioning society. Asriel is also nowhere to be seen in Hometown (since he's away on college) but is talked about with such fondness, so he's almost mythical -- like an angel.

There's also a church in town and the Dreemurs were (are?) devout followers. I can't remember if they explicitly worship the Angel but it sounds likely.

So yeah, I'm thinking that Hometown is something like Asriel's ideal world that came into being for...some reason. Perhaps by the power of the fountains.

Also I'm not truly sure on this next bit, but Asriel might've seen the monsters of the underground but not really got the time to know them well. Hence why everyone is slightly off: Bratty and Catty are not friends, Alphys and Undine don't know each other, and Sans is new in town. As opposed to Frisk, who got to know them.

One thing that throws a wrench into this theory is the fact that Toriel and Asgore are separated, so it's not a truly ideal world for Asriel.

Then, if we 'banish the Heaven' it might mean putting an end to Homeworld. And Chara's (?) arrival in the epilogue might be them going into their brother's Heaven in order to wreck it.

I thought the ending was just Kris reclaiming control of his body. At various points its implied Kris is acting very strangely by other people (because of us)

Rallies are definitely more entertaining. Shame nothing really got kindled this time around. I'd totally be up for a Savior of Smash Kirby rally at least so long as we don't get the uneventful series of stomps that we seem to be getting set up for again.

Alternatively I wonder if a contest made solely for new characters (like premiere only allowed after a certain date in a way so we don't get a roster associated with the usual giants to just take the votes in their stead) could potentially be entertaining

Sure there were other better strategists but Torrin was better at keeping people up and together while also giving em enough reign to do shit. Also thinking back I think his groups tended to have better outcomes compared to others (of course this is probably just due to choices in general but I'll give the credit to him)

Biased I know but c'mon, she's the truest waifu of that list. She stuck by her husbando no matter what hell came her way, going through this nightmare entirely for his sake in the first place.

She fought monstrous creatures to protect him, saved his life like 2-3 times, and died for him. She also didn't try to maliciously eat him or turn him into a robot so...there's also that.

Thought Jen's was sad / bittersweet though from how I interpreted it regardless of how things play out (If Leone lives he will never show up, If Leone dies then its still sad / failure on Jen's part).

Also from how the story portrayed her I assumed she would give zero fucks about the home city and probably wouldn't be crazy about Leone's brother either.
