Just because it's not in your history doesn't mean it's removed from recommends videos. Besides it's based on what's currently trending and what has high views/retention rates. It does though. If I watch an anime video for example, my feed gets full of anime stuff. If I go and delete my YouTube history it resets. I'm not just saying it for the sake of saying it. I've done this. Here's what youtube says about it: YouTube watch history makes it easy to find videos you recently watched and improves your video recommendations. You can control your watch history by deleting or pausing your history. You can delete individual items or delete your entire history. When you pause history, any videos that you watch while history is paused won't show in history and wont be used to improve your recommendations.
