weird test environment as it's a club which is crowded and playing loud music

What's weird about it

Maybe that people are 1000x more likely to be touched since that's not only what happens when a place is crowded but also what happens when people are dancing with each other?

That does not really excuse groping

Define "groping"

why?

So we know what you mean. This study is including all kinds of normal and socially acceptable touching as "groping".

I understand the confusion. The Sun labeled all non-consensual touches as groping. That's a bit much, it's bad enough as it is. When I say groping though, I'm quite sure we're talking about roughly the same thing. But you can see in the video material that they're being touched when they expressly don't want to be. And not just politely "excuse me", it's in a way that's a bit entitled.

true but every time you're touched in a crowded loud club as you're moving around it doesn't constitute being groped

Luckily no one is saying that

There's probably a lot of people here who have gone to nightclubs more than a few times and have experienced the type of touching that normally goes on in them. And they are probably okay with it and don't think it's a big deal when it happens to them. I'm one of those people.

That's not to say that there aren't people out there who don't like it, or that they don't have the right to complain about it, though. But I would wager that it's a small % of people who frequent nightclubs that actually take issue with it. Obviously there's a difference between blatant/fragrant types of groping and the more casual stuff that goes on in nightclubs.

And I don't think you realize the type of touching women are subject to. It's quite different from what men are subject to, generally speaking.

good studies need controls.

Oh yeah, I agree. The defense I'm talking about here isn't really about criticizing the study though, it's about defending the behavior it's claiming to study. You don't really need a scientific study to easily observe this kind of behavior, to be fair.

Bleach was - in its heyday - head and shoulders above the rest. It was cool, it was fun and it was occasionally funny. And above all it was a kickass battle show.

Maybe I'm just too old now but My Hero Academia doesn't do it for me.

The best part of Bleach imo was before Soul Society. It was pretty funny at times, and it had that mysterious and creepy vibe to it. Not to mention that it looked really good. Kind of like how the best part of Naruto was the first arc with the bridge and stuff, and then it went on a slow and steady decline.

This is the problem I'm having. All the great shonens have had their heyday. Bleach lasted a single arc. Naruto was good on and off, but better at the beginning. One Piece reached a peak at about 300-400 episodes, which was like 10 years ago now. HxH reboot hit a peak at the chimera ant arc.

I'm not really feeling the vibe from the new ones.

Check out One Pace. It edits OP episodes after each arc is finished, so that they get compacted into something with reasonable pacing. That helps a lot IMO.
But of course, long running stuff is going to hit stalls.

I don't think I can link to it because it has a watermark, but in a recent chapter of HxH there's literally 2 panels with images and the rest is just text.

And yet fans never stop going on about how deep this series is. At least Bleach had cool fights and powers

I wouldn't say it's deep, it's just that the story arcs have a lot of setup for specific and complicated mechanics that usually pay off in fights that are a lot more suspenseful since it's more than just the fighters taking turns with powering up.
What's more I don't really think the "The heart" page is really comparable to the King's death in HxH, since the contexts are quite different. I wasn't really bugged much by The heart, though, so maybe I'm not the right person to ask. Nor am I a raging HxH fanboy - the text dumps in the latest arc have been atrocious to get through. Not just in this latest set of chapters, ever since they got on that boat it's been a lot.

There are a lot of public institutions that don't function properly because they're not getting enough money. In that context, dodging taxes contributes to all kinds of tragic shit. Because the effects of the crime aren't immediate, like murder or robbery, we tend to not consider it so heinous. But it is.

It makes perfect sense to go after and demonize people who don't pay taxes. Yet some people ignore the biggest offenders. Businessmen like Donald Trump and many more build their entire fortunes on tax fraud. And there are people out there cheering him on while reporting sex workers who might not even be guilty.

I wonder if those people really care about taxes, or if there's some other factor that makes them rather sex workers?

"Catch and release" doesn't work in the US because they just flee and are never seen again,

https://cliniclegal.org/sites/default/files/Denied-a-Day-in-Court.pdf

Contrary to the narrative that families purposely abscond from immigration court, ASAP and CLINICs clients all had legitimate reasons for being unable to attend their hearings, including lack of notice, incorrect government information, serious medical problems, language barriers, and severe trauma or disabilities. Importantly, ASAP and CLINICs clients represented nationals from El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras who had received removal orders from 15 different immigration courts. Most of these families were alerted to their removal orders by prior pro bono counsel who represented them while they were in detention, and who then connected them with ASAP and CLINICs services. The other families sought general information about asylum from ASAP and CLINIC, leading them to realize they had missed a hearing. Once families became aware of their in absentia removal orders, they overwhelmingly sought to reopen their cases to seek asylum.
