Iirc the vanilla soft cap is 260 or 265. If you're still enjoying the game after 2 weeks of slower grinding unless you are raiding and doing every daily and weekly, buy the expansion.

Just finished grinding my third character to 50 so I can do end game content with everyone now at almost max light.

I did that in Warmind but it got to be too much doing three sets of weeklies and raids. @_@

Not sure what I'd stick with if I ever get forsaken though.

Its fun, but what ultimately killed it for me was the "log in, do your weeklies on tuesday, and log out for six days" followed up with "here's a cool exotic weapon we know you'll want but we locked it behind a dozen monotonous activities that don't even make sense lore-wise" shtick.
