Nitrogen in particular increases with a mulched lawn. You need fewer chemical fertilizers when the mulched grass clippings are left in place. If you bag the grass clippings, you may need to add chemical fertilizers to boost the nitrogen levels in the lawn. To avoid large clumps if you choose to mulch, mow the lawn frequently and adhere to the recommendation of cutting only a third of the grass blade. |

When they started to phase out leaded, they dropped premium leaded, and replaced it with premium unleaded. Then they dropped leaded entirely. Since they had 3 grade pumps, and no leaded gas to sell, they had some choices. Since leaded had its own hose (larger diameter spout) some started selling diesel from the pump, especially in more rural areas, where diesel pickups were popular. Others added the blend, because it was easy to do. In either case, marketeers insisted they couldn't have an unused hose.. |
