You have to get a letter in the mail from them that says they're looking for someone in your area to represent that area. Then you have to be the first to apply. You can't electively join. It's kind of luck based. I'm sure everybody in my apartment complex got the same letter, but I was the first to respond. For example, I watched Adam Ruins Everything and Impractical Jokers more than any other show so it would show that that's what people wanted to see. They also pay you every six months, plus a little extra every time they need to come to your house and ask you a survey, check your equipment, repair or replace your equipment, or whenever you get a new device monitored. But you have to sign a non disclosure contract. If you talk about it to people or post online about it, your contract gets revoked. If a cable company or cable network approaches you and offers to pay you to turn your box on for a certain program, and you accept, your contract gets revoked for that, too. It's a very rewarding experience, provided you follow the rules and take it seriously. You could be the difference between a show getting another season, or it getting cancelled. krazychao5 posted...
