Me, personally? Or myself, but with some alterations?

Steampunk could be interesting. Would work well with my current knowledge.

Fantasy would also be interesting, but I'd probably turn out to be some random villager that's killed during battle or just from being too odd as most of my experience is in computer tech and traditionally, that's lacking in high fantasy worlds.

Futuristic could be a lot of fun, assuming it's something like an O'Neill cylinder. Travel in space.

Post-apocalyptic would be interesting, in theory, but a tiring nightmare when you're constantly fighting for survival.

https://www.npr.org/2018/12/03/672817706/examining-differences-between-canadian-and-u-s-tweets

https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0206188#sec004

A recent study conducted by researchers in Canada found that tweets by Canadians tend to have more positive words than tweets by Americans.

The study used a data set of 40 million tweets it eliminated bots and tweets that were not in English to determine characteristics of Canadian users versus American users. Bryor Snefjella, a researcher at McMaster University in Ontario, was the lead author in the study.

"What we found is that if you go into Twitter and you quantify the most ... characteristic language of Canadians and Americans, you find that that characteristic language really, really strongly matches the sort of established stereotypes of Canadians and Americans," Snefjella says in an interview with Morning Edition's David Greene.

A team of computational linguist researchers parsed through the words and symbols of tweets that were marked with latitude and longitude coordinates. The study showed that the tweets reflected the "nice Canadian" and "rude American" stereotypes.

"For Canada, you're talking about words like 'great,' 'amazing,' 'awesome,' 'thanks,' being very characteristic," Snefjella says. "For Americans, it's words like swear words of all kinds ... and then a lot of words of that [evoke] negative emotional states like 'hate,' 'miss,' 'bored,' 'tired.' "

But as for why Americans and Canadians choose to tweet this way that's much harder to determine, Snefjella says.

"It's a very, very difficult question to answer," Snefjella tells Greene. "There is a whole body of research in social psychology that basically says that those stereotypes of us aren't true. If you just survey lots of Canadians and Americans ... personality traits on average just don't seem to be any different."

The study, Snefjella says, shows that, on Twitter, Canadians and Americans construct stereotypes through the words users choose to type.

"We're actually pointing that maybe the true thing isn't our characters; maybe the true thing is how we choose to talk," Snefjella says.

And according to Snefjella, that is something people have the power to change.

"So if what we're finding in this study is the sum of the language choices of Canadians and Americans, we can make different choices and wind up with a different picture of who we are," Snefjella says.

Danny Hajek and Peter Granitz produced and edited this story for broadcast.

Red Dead Redemption 2, by a landslide.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider was a lot of fun, as was Octopath Traveler, even though I haven't finished Octopath Traveler, yet. I enjoyed Ni No Kuni II: Reveant Kingdom, but it was very repetitive. I loved Subnautica and technically it counts as a 2018 release, even though it was in early access for a good chunk of 2017.

The downside is the grind. It's just like GTA Online. Complete a mission for fist-full of dollars. The loot you get sells for a handful of coins. Clothing, horse options, weapons, ammo, food, medicine, etc are all costly.

Under Sarbaness vision, the federal government would provide a voluntary 6-1 match for candidates for president and Congress, which means for every dollar a candidate raises from small donations, the federal government would match it six times over. If you give $100 to a candidate thats meeting those requirements, then that candidate would get another $600 coming in behind them, Sarbanes told Vox this summer.

Uhhh what? Is this really saying our tax dollars are going to political campaigns? Don't know about you guys but this isn't what I pay taxes for.

Requiring the president to disclose his or her tax returns.

There's no purpose here besides deliberating targeting Trump. It's a ridiculous inclusion.

Create a new ethical code for the US Supreme Court, ensuring all branches of government are impacted by the new law.

Not sure what this means exactly but I don't like the sound of it. Congress isn't there to tell SCOTUS what to do or what's permitted, it's the other way around. Congress shouldn't be able to pass a code they made up and have it indisputably enforced by the SCOTUS if they disagree with it.

By establishing a requirement for requiring diclosure of tax returns, wed be setting a precedent for current and future presidents. Its not just a ploy to target Trump.

As for the moral code issue, why not? If all branches are receiving the same treatment, nobody would be treated unfairly.

https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2018/11/30/18118158/house-democrats-anti-corruption-bill-hr-1-pelosi

What this anti-corruption bill aims to do:

Sarbanes says the goal is to have a bill, which has many details yet to be hammered out, ready to be voted on by January 3 the first day of the new session.
There are three main planks the bill covers: campaign finance reform, strengthening the governments ethics laws, and expanding voting rights.

Campaign finance
Public financing of campaigns, powered by small donations. The evidence and the modeling is that most candidates can do as well or better in terms of the dollars they raise if they step into this new system.
Passing the DISCLOSE Act, pushed by Rep. David Cicilline (RI) and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (RI), both Democrats from Rhode Island. This would require Super PACs and dark money political organizations to make their donors public.
Passing the Honest Ads Act, championed by Sens. Amy Klobuchar (MN) and Mark Warner (VA), which would require Facebook and Twitter to disclose the source of money of political ads on their platforms, and share how much money was spent.

Ethics
Requiring the president to disclose his or her tax returns.
Stopping members of Congress from using taxpayer money to settle sexual harassment cases or buy first-class plane tickets.
Giving the Office of Government Ethics the power to do more oversight and enforcement and put in stricter lobbying registration requirements.
Create a new ethical code for the US Supreme Court, ensuring all branches of government are impacted by the new law.

Voting rights
Creating new national automatic voter registration that asks voters to opt out, rather than opt in, ensuring more people will be signed up to vote. Early voting and online voter registration would also be promoted.
Restoring the Voting Rights Act, part of which was dismantled by a US Supreme Court decision in 2013. Ending partisan gerrymandering in federal elections and prohibiting voter roll purging.
Beefing up elections security, including requiring the Director of National Intelligence to do regular checks on foreign threats.

Great bill, but like Vox said, it's very likely to never pass the Senate or Oval Office due to opposing motives.

Inb4 someone comments on vox.

http://www.classlawdc.com/2018/11/26/bethesda-game-studios-deceptive-trade-practices-investigation/

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating Bethesda Game Studios for releasing a heavily-glitched game, Fallout 76, and refusing to issue refunds for PC purchasers of the game who found it to be unplayable because of its technical problems. While minor bugs and glitches are expected with the release of most new games, Fallout 76 launched with a 56GB patch that has proven to be but a starting point for the games problems. Gamers who have tried to receive a refund because of the games myriad glitches have been unable to do so since they downloaded the game, leaving them to deal with an unplayable experience until patches bring it back to a playable state.

If you chose this option, youre choosing to eliminate anyone who:

Doesnt use their turn signals

Runs traffic lights
Changes lanes without care to their surroundings
Uses their phone or isnt paying attention when driving
Double-parks
Endangers pedestrians
Etc

https://www.polygon.com/2018/11/26/18112534/red-dead-redemption-2-rdr2-online-multiplayer-beta-release-date

Red Dead Redemption 2s online multiplayer mode, Red Dead Online, will go live on Tuesday, Nov. 27, Rockstar Games announced today.

Rockstar will launch Red Dead Online in beta form on Nov. 27 at 8:30 a.m. ET, and it will initially be accessible only for owners of the Ultimate Edition of Red Dead Redemption 2. The following day, the beta will open up to those who played Red Dead Redemption 2 on its first day of release Oct. 26. On Thursday, Nov. 29, those who played the game in its first three days of release (Oct. 26-29) will get access. Then, on Friday, Nov. 30, online multiplayer will open up for all Red Dead Redemption 2 players.

Red Dead Online has been described by Rockstar as an evolution of the classic multiplayer experience in the original Red Dead Redemption, blending narrative with competitive and cooperative gameplay in fun new ways. Players will be able to explore the online experience solo or with friends, and Rockstar promises constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players.

In an announcement today, Rockstar said the world of Red Dead Online will be transformed into a new, living online world ready to be shared by multiple players. Players will create and customize their online characters and tailor your abilities to suit your play style. Players will be able to join a posse up to eight players and go out hunting and fishing, battle rival gangs, and fight other players in spontaneous skirmishes and pitched set-piece battles.

Red Dead Redemption 2s online multiplayer mode will be free and available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The PS4 version of the game will have select exclusive content for Red Dead Online.

The map itself is huge. It's supposed to represent several different states, namely Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana and does so well, but it also feels just a little compressed. After a certain point, you're free to do whatever you want. You're not limited in activities from the get-go, unlike GTA V Story Mode (where you have to go with the story before you can access the entirety of the activities). New random encounters and stranger events will pop up as you progress through the story.

There's a lot to do, some of which you'll ever happen upon as you play or will discover through missions. That said, I do want to say that the game sort of expects that you'll focus on the story and not go off exploring as certain missions feature activities in a way as if you were doing this for the first time, such as hunting bison with Charles, despite the possibility that you may have already hunted bison before.

Even still, there's a lot to see and do. Being a completionist, I'm currently just trying to finish the compendium and "gold" enough missions. Unfortunately, the game is set up so that you need to achieve every requirement to get gold during each mission, in comparison with GTA V Story Mode, where you could complete certain objectives on one playthrough, replay the mission, and achieve the rest (so you're not frantically making sure you've done it all and racing around).
