Wait..were the blue flames like the ones they put around the Goblet of Fire?

Idk the way I read it it seemed like the blue flames cleared anyone who was committed and loyal to Grindelwald, then attacked and tried to kill anyone who wasn't. He implied early on that his minion wasn't loyal and would die for it, which then happened in the flames.

Credence can't be his brother, it doesn't match timewise according to the Harry Potter wiki. Probably some other relation.
And I doubt Queenie would be able to deliberately plan to deceive Grindelwald and walk through those blue flames.

Essentially the movie suffers from the same issues as the PT Star Wars movies and RO/Solo. They're just trying to connect everything and cram in as many references to the source material as humanly possible.

I was browsing Twitter like one does, and found some interesting retweeted thread about gender inequality in academia. I scroll down a little and find that Milkman published a study where they found that white males are favored when asking for guidance towards a PhD. Just look:

These are such superficial things to complain about though, I hope people realize that. What started sucking about craig bond is how immediately unlikable he became and how his movies were really lame.

Skyfall was trying to rip off joker and home alone, and spectre is almost so bad it's good territory, like everything about that movie is so unabashedly atrocious you can't help but laugh, especially that twist. But so much more than that, they squandered having both monica belluci and lea seydoux in one movie, how shameful.

Frankly I don't think the Craig movies are any worse than the other Bond movies. All Bond films are action thrillers of their time. I agree that his movies were a bit silly and stupid, but literally all Bond films are silly and stupid.

You implied that Craig's Bond was better than Connery's because Connery's Bond was sexist. I'm saying that, if that early sexism is justification enough to undermine the core aspects of who and what 007 is as a character, then you might as well do the same with Superman on account of that early installment racism.

I implied no such thing. My point is that people view the old Bond with nostalgia glasses, and that Connery Bond was actually quite nastily misogynist. What that implies is a bunch of things. It might just be the case that people like seeing women demeaned and reduced to objects. On CE this isn't an unlikely explanation.
More importantly it justifies a big change like Craig in today's political climate. I'm not saying one is better than the other, you can think what you will about Craig. I'm saying that when people want to go back to the classic Bond, they're pining for a violent misogynist.

Gaming used to be much more simple without all the install and update bullshit

It's a double edged sword. On one hand, loading screens and updates and installs suck. On the other hand, a broken game was going to remain broken forever.

I know what you mean, but not exactly. A lot of games were released in different versions because the first ones had some nasty bugs. It just wasn't marketed the same way.

Interesting, seems like there are some different ideas here. Personally I can see how you could make an argument for game with very simple mechanics being deep.
Like, if I think about it I would say that complexity describes the mechanics available to the player, while depth rather describes the metagame that arises from the mechanics. Soccer would be a good example of very simple rules, but the metagame is still quite deep.

What do you guys think about that?

This is why I avoided a lot of RPGs for a long time - especially before designers figured out that the option to be able to re-spec is a good thing. Imagine doing a spec you think sounds cool and then it sucks and then you can't redo it without replaying the game.
