Solomon beated. I feel like they really stepped things up in both writing and gameplay from about Babylonia on! I was spoiled on a couple of big moments, but they were still more impactful than I expected.

Wk. 1, 4/96

Scorpio corners Alfonso and once again requests to fight Sheik. Alfonso wants to make sure that's what Scorpio really wants- to face the mad man? Scorpio stands his ground, and Alfonso agrees, on the condition that Scorpio be responsible for any lost time and revenue if he gets himself injured. Scorpio agrees, and Alfonso will draw up a contract to sign next week. (C-) Sheik demonstrates his monstrosity by beating up 911 until he gets gassed (about three minutes into the match.) (Also he was wasted AND high (D-)

Buh Buh Ray and D-Von Dudley have won the battle of the Dudleys, and they're gonna venture out on their own, away from the rest of the clan. They'll take on any challengers at the Massacre on Queens....and Mark Henry and Bam Bam Bigelow waste no time accepting. (C) The whole Flock squares off with Taz and the Pitbulls, with the stipulation that a tag title shot is on the line for the Pitbulls and What the Flock. It's a pretty even match, with the tenacity of the faces compensating for a slight defecit in unity. It comes down to Raven and Taz in the ring after a while...and Raven just grabs a chair and goes to town on Taz! That's a DQ, but he appears to have made his point. (D+) (Raven was wasted)

Windham is counseling an unmotivated Dreamer. Windham brings in Missy Hyatt and Francine to flounce around in skimpy outfits, then tells Dreamer to stay focused and not let SUCCUBI distract him. (C+) Our main event is Cactus and Parka against Chavo and Whipwreck, following the events of the past week. La Parka gets a big win after a while! (C+) Parka grabs a mic, and in broken English, attempts to convey that he's been doing well against the Network lately. He wants a shot at Douglas! Douglas comes out and laughs him off...but grants the shot, because it'll be his easiest defense ever! (C)

Overall: C SUCCESS

The Iron Sheik and Raven have been let go after 4+ Extreme Wellness violations.

Scorpio tries to storm into Alfonso's office, but is met at the door by Douglas. The boss is too busy to see him. Scorpio wants Sheik, but Douglas reiterates that Scorpio is too valuable an investment to risk in such an altercation. They did find some less valuable investments to feed to Sheik instead, though! (B-) And in fact, Sheik beats poor J.T. Smith half to death in something vaguely resembling a match. (E+; Sheik was on drugs)

Missy Hyatt chats with Francine about wanting to boost ratings, then pantses her. (C+) Cactus challenges Chavo for the TV Title! It's a pretty solid match...until Whipwreck runs in on Cactus, causing a DQ. (C+) Windham tells Dreamer he's gonna take him under his wing. Windham will show him the light, and then they'll start calling him Tommy WINNER! Dreamer seems too tired to blow him off. (C+)

Our main event is Taz and Parka against Bigelow and Henry. Faces have the technique advantage, but are unable to overcome the size and power of the monster heels in the end. (C+; Bigelow sustains a Foot Blister) After the match, the Flock come out. Taz is strong, but he is getting nowhere as a lone wolf, adrift on the seas of the midcard. Raven implores Taz to join the Flock in a mutually beneficial arrangement. All Taz can spare of himself is one finger. (D+)

Overall: C SUCCESS

Bigelow opens up against new debut YOSHIHIRO TAJIRI in a one-sided but entertaining affair. (B-; Tajiri's No Gimmick Needed gets Above Average) Windham approaches Beulah backstage to tell her she needs to stay away from Dreamer, as she is nothing but a JEZEBEL. Beulah maintains that she wants nothing to do with Dreamer or Raven or especially Windham right now, and stalks off. (C)

The TV Title is on the line next, as Chavo retains in a somewhat lackluster outing with the debuting SHANE HELMS. (D+; Shane's Show Stealer gets Awful) The Flock is out. Raven says they have almost come back together, but Stevie needs to prove his contrition. Raven demands that Stevie lick his boots! The crowd doesn't want this, and Stevie is reluctant....but he complies, and seems to be welcomed back into the fold. (C-)

Next up, Henry takes on Taz. Taz pushes the big guy, but Henry is able to ride it out this time. (D) Sheiky is out to scream incoherently into a mic for a while about ****ING BULL****. After that starts to wear out its welcome, Too Cold Scorpio comes out, but is immediately swarmed by security! Alfonso comes out with them, reminding Scorpio that he is not allowed anywhere near Sheik. Security mobs Scorpio and drags him backstage, to his and Sheik's mutual protestation. (C)

Our main event is Sabu and New Jack for no particular reason. It's about as out of control as one would expect, and Sabu appears to take a particularly rough legdrop through a table. However, he hangs on to get the win. (C+; New Jack was on drugs twice; Sabu suffers a Simple Scapular Fracture) Whipwreck comes out to the ring to taunt Cactus some more, continuing to emphasize that he picked the winning team and that Cactus isn't the kinda guy they want representing ECW. This of course brings Cactus out before too long...where he's flanked by Douglas in an ambush! The Network put the boots to him...until LA PARKA comes out with a chair to clear out the ring! He stands over Cactus defensively as the show ends. (C-)

Overall: C- SUCCESS; Not enough hott babez

ECW have come to terms on the release of New Jack for his fourth and fifth violations of the extreme wellness program. We wish him to not kill anybody in his future endeavors.

-Rock is backstage. He and Cena go way back, and Rock is proud to call him a friend. That won't be in their way tonight, though, because this is for the title. Rock's secret plan? Not being remotely scared of that puny AA of Cena's.

-B8WL CHAMPIONSHIP: John Cena (c) v. The Rock
We start out with boxing, and Cena enjoys an advantage until Rock just takes him down and slaps on the Sharpshooter! Cena powers out of it before too long, but Rock just puts it back on! Cena gets to the ropes this time, and while Rock protests the rope break, gets in a DDT! Both men are down....Rock goes to the Sharpshooter AGAIN! This time Cena gets out with some elbows to the kidneys, followed by a kick that looked a bit south of the border. Cena into the ropes, but gets flapjacked. Rock goes for a cover, but only gets 1. Rock does the Five-Knuckle Shuffle! Cover doesn't even get 1 this time. Cena trips Rock....STF! Rock...almost taps, but gets to the ropes. He charges in, and here come the FIVE MOVES OF DOOM...and there's the AA! 1.....2.....3!

-We have a moment of tension after the match, but then Rock hugs Cena and raises his hand.

....I had the update started and then I had the bright idea to click on the pic from CPU's promo and lost it >_> Cliff's notes!

-David hosted Bowser, who was a jerk. David whacked him with a mic and they're gonna have a grudge match (again) once David is cleared for action.

-Bang d. Kenshin very quickly with a flash rollup. Blackthorn Dalinar suspects Kenshin does not have THE THRILL~~~

-Taker is the American Badass again! He beats Truth with relative ease to retain the UCA Title, after David foils a runin attempt from the rest of the MLMF.

-Striker points out that MLMF have trouble getting it done when it counts, and Truth yells at him on his way to the back.

-HARDCORE TITLE: Champion Bowser v. King Maniac64
Maniac decides it's a good idea to turn his back on Bowser to greet the crowd, and gets beatdown with a chair for his trouble. Retreating to the outside, Maniac appropriates a special commemorative Implosion chair and retaliates! It is more padded than Bowser's chair, but it is much more collectible and stylish, and can be yours for only $300 on B8WLShop.com! Unfortunately, Bowser just powers through it and suplexes Maniac on the floor! Bowser finds an ironing board under the ring, and tees off on Maniac's head! Cover! 1....2.....3!
Winner and STILL Hardcore Champ: Bowser

-Miz comes out to check on Maniac, but mainly to raise Bowser's hand and celebrate a bit.

-Mastery of Taybles and Chair on a Pole: Mario (c) and Sonic v. Eddv and Kora
So this one is a chair on a pole match, but with a side pot that the Mastery of Taybles will also be on the line for the first time somebody gets Taybled. Mario opens with a Hip Drop on Kora, after warning the ref to keep an eye on the ruffians. Kora shrugs it off and batters Mario back...only for Mario to hot tag Sonic. Sonic lands a flurry of blows, culminating in a dropkick to the corner. Sonic retrieves the chair and clobbers Kora all over the ring with it, but Kora manages a HOT TAG to Eddv. Eddv elbows Sonic, causing him to drop the chair, and then tags back to Kora. Kora hits a running kick to the midsection, then throws Sonic through the ropes...and through a ringside TAYBLE, winning the MoT!

Kora puts Sonic in the Sharpshooter on the outside until the ref breaks it up. Both competitors return to the ring, but Sonic ducks a charge and gets a HOT TAG. We like hot tags in this game, okay? Mario flies into the ring with some sorta springboard hip attack...cover! 1....2....3!
Winners: Mario and Sonic (but Kora wins MoT)

-Connor McGregor points out that Mario and Sonic won the match, but Kora has their title now, so who's the REAL winner?

-Flair is caught watching NETFLIX backstage! Isn't he supposed to be tangentially against Scare?

-GRUDGE MATCH: ScareChan w/Cena v. Pentagon, Jr.
Cena hits a tope on Penta before the match, just because he (apparently) can. Doesn't slow Penta down TOO much though, as he opens with a nice rana and a flip legdrop. Penta's pissed today, and whips Scare shoulder-first into the post. Penta jabs a thumb in Scare's eye, then goes after Cena on the outside! Low blow on Cena! That'll show him, I guess. Penta gets back in the ring and ties up with Scare, but Cena runs in and breaks it up! It will officially go in the books as a double DQ, since Penta attacked Cena first after the bell.

-Cueto is displeased, and tells Cena to settle down, but Cena doesn't want to hear it! He's got a match now, no matter how many tyrants and bullies want to get in his way!

Too Cold is out to once again call out Sheik, but he gets Alfonso instead. Sheik is a crazy old man, and Scorpio is an investment. The Network does not want one of their greatest properties damaged by a loose cannon! That's why Alfonso has been keeping Sheik and Scorp separated. Scorpio is not pleased about not getting a chance to fight back, or about being called a "property," but before he can really speak, Sheik appears to opine that this is f***ing b*******! Sheik tries to charge the ring, but security holds him back. (while also keeping an eye on Scorpio) (C)

The Pitbulls came up short for the tag titles, but they have a chance to bounce back tonight! Unfortunately, that chance is against the pairing of Mark Henry and Bam Bam Bigelow. The Pitbulls put up a good fight, but the heels prove too tough for them. (D+) Dreamer is still trying to chase down Beulah to talk, and he is again intercepted by Windham. These lusts are distracting Dreamer! Windham wants to see Dreamer get himself back on the right track, and that involves letting Beulah go. (C) It's apparently tag team night, because next up, the Eliminators will defend their shiny new belts against Sabu and Taz! It's a pretty chaotic match, but eventually the polished teamwork of Kronus and Saturn prevails. (C+)

Cactus Jack calls out Mikey Whipwreck, wanting answers for the heel turn. Whipwreck says it's simple: Jack was willing to throw their titles away for his own gains, so Whipwreck threw their friendship away for HIS own gains. Besides, the Network's right- Cactus just isn't champion material. Whipwreck has gotten on the winning side, and if Cactus has a problem with that, he can express his frustrations in a tag match....oh, and they've already found him a partner. (C+) That partner is LA PARKA, with whom Cactus will take on Douglas and Whipwreck of the Network. The ref gives them a lot of leeway, and they brawl all over the place. .....La Parka gets a surprise rollup on Douglas, and holds him down for 3! Suck it, haters! (C)

Raven and the Flock are in the ring. Raven demands an apology from Stevie. Stevie considers, but apologizes for his insubordination. (D)
