There is a difference between a judgement call and this. For example, a cop pulls you over for speeding and decides to let you off with a warning is not the same as a cop flat out saying you know what, I think people should be able to steal cars so Ill never arrest people for or bother with car theft situations.

As someone else said, as a private citizen he has every right to fight against stuff like this on his own time. Hes not the one who gets to decide what is just or not.

"Just following orders" has not been recognized as a valid defense for one's actions for quite some time now.

What benefits? I've tried coffee, and after a few days you don't feel better with it, you just feel worse without it.

My dad brews coffee every morning and what he doesn't use we pour it into a jug to use for iced coffee.

There are lots of coffee benefits that do not involve caffeine such as antioxidants reducing inflammation, certain chemicals produced by roasting that has shown effectiveness in reducing risk of dementia (phenylindanes), improved liver health, etc.

i've never had a non-politics book ever talk about politics and i've never had a non-religion book talk about religion

i've gone to both a catholic school and a public school. in the catholic school they would bring up "but god" time to time and in the public school they just never talked about religion or politics outside of any neutral stance. if your parents are extremely partisan or fundamentalist, you're probably going to become just like them if they're in total control of your education

They still aren't, but that's beside the point. The point is that public hangings were ordered by the courts and lynchings were done by white supremacists and vigilantes.

Gas chamber executions were never a public spectacle and attendence was often restricted to very select groups, so that kind of statement would at least make me do a double take and suspect that she made a Freudian slip.
