All of Melees "mechanics" competitive people talk about are actually exploits or glitches that coincidentally make for a better competitive game. Melee also had pretty bad balancing and hitboxes which was fine for a party game but pretty much ensured people only use a few good characters. So it wasn't a case of Nintendo failing to make mechanics right as it was fixing the exploits people liked. Could they have turned them into an actual mechanic? Maybe, but from what I understand Sakurai(Creator/Director) was very much against Smash being a competitive game. --- equo ne credite! |

Now his channel consists of reaction videos like every lazy youtuber, movie reviews which is more like podcast almost as long as the movie itself, and he relegates any smaller game to his friend nobody likes. All for that sweet youtube cash I guess. It's a shame because usually I strongly agree with him when it comes to games.
