You know this before hand. Like when they submit proper paper work and you do a background check. If there's no available information, boot them out. As there's no proof of possible contribution.

If the father doesn't want to be in the child's life, and makes it known to the mother, it is now her choice on whether to abort the baby as she doesn't want to raise it alone, or shoulder the responsibility since SHE wants it and he doesn't and let her know. It's not fair to the father to force him to take care of a child he doesn't want.

Short answer: The mother chooses to have the child so if she has any financial troubles it's literally her choice. The father doesn't get that liberty.

The fact that you prioritize the latter over the former speaks about the type of person you are.

Yeah part of that providing and caring is setting up rules for their well being and having them follow it. That's more important than the dumb concept of letting them do any and everything.
