Krautrock (Can, Neu!...) if that counts as obscure.

Good man, I'm a fan of Faust myself. I'd call the genre obscure, since it isn't as popular as it used to be.

Krautrock is interesting. Very experimental, with many minimalist and cold, industrial-like pieces that can be over ten minutes long, but also has shorter, rhythmical songs that feel like the progenitors of house and techno. I've looked into the krautrock only recently, mainly because I've become curious to know how trance, house, chillout, and other electronic music genres started out.
Faust's So Far is rhythmic, beat.driven.

Cluster's 7:38 is a mysterious and colossal machine that wails and hisses ominously.

True I listen to Krautrock and Berlin School because I have an interest in knowing the origins of electronic music, I mean you listen to modern industrial music and they recycle and use a lot of sounds already pioneered by Kraftwerk, Jarre, Vangelis and Tangerine Dream eons ago. I'm slowly entering into the world of trance, I have so far only listened to Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, and Ferry Corsten, and I'm in love with it, it has still sounds from the italo disco/spacesynth era and it's just... impressive!

I really liked the Cluster's song you recommended me, though I mostly play that type of music when I'm chilling at home and put is as background, but when you pay close attention to it there's a lot happening not heard at simple listening

Yeah, I was really into italo disco and spacesynth around 2012 or so,. Even bought several compilations CDs with eveything from Koto to Silent Circle and Ken Laszlo to Proxyon.

that's really amazing

I've heard italo and spacesynth since a kid because my uncle had the Koto - Masterpieces LP and he would play it a lot. But I didn't really dive into the genre until past year, when I was getting bored of synthwave and started listening to Koto and Laserdance. I've fallen in love with the genre, and I have a couple CDs, I recently got Laserdance's Trans Space Express Limited Edition signed by Michel van der Kuy and Erik Van Vliet and managed to snag a copy of Koto's Science Fiction themes in Amazon for just $4.

I am a huge fan of obscure electronic music, specially the sub-genre known (not really *known* but you get what I mean...) as spacesynth, which itself is a subgenre of italo disco. It has some amazing artists such as Koto, Laserdance, Ciber People and Syntech. Naturally because of my growth with video game music (specially space levels, think: Future Fun Land from Diddy Kong Racing) made me love this type of music more, because it's identical.

Here is an example of the most iconic album of the genre:

Nowadays I only use instagram to put pictures of my dog, but I agree, overachievers make you feel like shit, seeing people you knew progress so much in life, and you just feel like a loser. I had a friend who's now a teacher, another who is at NASA, another who's working at a prestigious local bank in a very high position... meanwhile there's me, still in college and just having a mediocre 10-hour per week part-time job working as a messenger. It just sucks man, I've been thinking about abandoning social media many times.

Damn man I know how you feel. Like all of my old friends are following their dreams and I'm just scraping by on an hourly job.

Yeah and don't forget the countless inspirational quotes they upload regularly. It's cancerous, and you just can't unfriend them because you know them IRL

I once had a collection of Dragons, IIRC they were 10, and around 5 of them had the genius idea of walking through the exit, and I had to wait a shit ton of time for them to go out. It's frustrating!!!!!!
