So there's another sad thing about Roman's leukemia concerning WWE.

WWE put literally everything in the past four years into making Roman the top guy at the expense of literally everyone else. They wanted so hard for him to be the next John Cena that it pushed so many people away from watching. All that wasted time and effort because he just has to leave now, presumably indefinitely.

This is why they should have really built up more people to be at the top instead of building up more people to be beaten by Roman. This is such a shitty thing, but it's sad because it's only going to improve WWE by allowing them to go into a better direction now without everything needing to be about Roman going over.

And for what it's worth (I know it's MWC but it's worth pointing out), Alexa had had her nose broken by two of some of the most unsafe women in Nia Jax, who has taken a turn injuring everyone, and Ronda Rousey who is extremely green still and throws her hits maybe a bit too snug. I recall Ronda injuring someone else too, but I can't remember who. The guys would get broken noses if they took the hits that broke Alexa's nose.

Wow. This is legitimately shocking. I guess the rumor that Roman might be out due to injury was half right.

But Jesus, I would never want him to go away like this. This is horrible and I hope he can beat it. No matter how much I don't like the guy as a character, this is just something noone should ever go through.

...And yes, I was paranoid this was a thing to get him over too, I admit it. But that speaks to the lengths WWE has gone for him.

This may be the only time I'll root for him, but I really am hoping he beats this thing.

I left a higher paying job for a more flexible schedule and shorter commute because it was better for my family. I did that for my family and money is basically the only thing that didn't factor into my decision.

"Doing what's best for family" could just mean not spending months at a time in Japan and away from their wives and children. Obviously that points to WWE too but it's not all about money, I'm sure they're making plenty.

Omega should ask 3 years 40m once WWE gets the new TV money deal.

Fair price for the top talent outside WWE and we all know WWE have a huge Fox deal and a billion dollar Saudi deal. So they can afford that easy.

I think it's a good move to make if you're ready to cash out on your career. Matt and Jeff sure, they're breaking down anyway. The Bucks and Omega are in their mid-early 30s though. Another 10-15 years in their tank. Unless they sign a super lucrative 10 year contract or something they probably can still make more money staying away in the long run than by signing with WWE, having their value tanked in 2 years, and then being forced to resign for less or go somewhere else for less.

If round starts now I am done. 4 hours of work and phone dead.

Cody Rhodes is probably making way more than he would have been had he stayed with WWE. Short term you might get a boost but long term the more talented guys can probably make more elsewhere.

3. When you go elsewhere, you will be potentially diminished based on working with material provided by the worst writing staff in the industry of television

why is everything so black and white with you? your guy doesn't have to win all the time. if kenny is around for years it tells a great story of him still having something to achieve. it took okada years to overcome tanahashi, and then he was superior for years. that's the way new japan tells stories. kenny could lose this year, build to finally getting the dome win a year later, then lose to okada after resting that for a bit, and rematch him the next dome show to see if he can finally beat okada at the dome. whole bunch of extra stories you can tell there and that's if you only use okada and tana, never mind naito or anyone else.

Hes never gonna beat Okada, Naito, or anyone else from Japan they have coming down the line in the Dome, so this right here would be the only chance ever. Or to put simply. 1. there's a lot of talk about new management at njpw not being loved by everyone with the general feeling being they are bad at talking to talent and the implication seems to be they are not valuing the elite as highly as you would expect, and that they are being treated like workers on a production line that can be replaced rather than unique draws

2. talk of the jacksonville jaguars owners looking to start something with jericho, jim ross, and the elite involved
