you have to go really philosophical. In particular, look at the theory of mind-body dualism. If the mind is some separate entity from the body, then could the mind continue to exist after the body ceases to exist? No one knows. No one can prove it.

I was hoping to find some constructive criticism. But then I realised...usually these people complaining about such high acclaim games being overrated have some really s***ty reasons for doing so.

Maybe they played it incorrectly. Some play it only a few hours and call their judgment. Some had unreasonably high expectations. And others just have very different tastes.
But then there's a few that do raise legit complaints though.

It really opens you up to other perspectives. And makes you realise no game can ever be perfect, despite being so perfect, because people all view it differently.

I'm not one to always go by reviews but seriously wtf. And reviewers can give lesser scores to Hitman and Splinter Cell? I thought these games should be the apex of stealth.
I don't care if MGS was the first stealth game. The gameplay always looked s*** to me.

I'm a fan of stealth games but seeing the gameplay videos and reviews of MGS...the game just looks so bland to me. I don't know how everyone hypes this game so much as a 10/10.

Is the desert literally the only setting in this game? Are you just playing on one map throughout or something?

This looks so boring if so. I'm comparing this to games like Splinter Cell and Hitman that vary greatly throughout the levels in the game.

I'm not trolling, I mean it. I don't see the appeal in Mario or Sonic. I've played these games as a child but c'mon, grow up already. Nintendo fans are like those nostalgic ones that simply can't let go of the past no matter what.

Then again, evolution is slow and gradual. So we can never actually witness it.

I'm not exactly that religious but I've been studying up on evolution and how life began and honestly, the way it works is kinda just as ludicrous as how some perceive religion to be.

Evolution isn't perfect. The Cambrian explosion for example, still remains unexplained by scientists. There's lots of things in the history of life still unsolved.

Honestly, I hated this trailer just cause it's so close to launch and they put no gameplay shots in it. Im not trying to look at Just Cause like it's Uncharted.

are you living in a cave? They've literally released countless gameplay videos already. The very first reveal trailer already has gameplay in it. Tons of streamers have played and uploaded the alpha version already. This is in fact the ONLY trailer out of the dozens and dozens released that is CGI only.

The Chimera Ant arc has by far the greatest art ever. After that, his artstyle suddenly changed to the current one.

I don't have problems with heavy dialogue. Moore also likes to cram his pages with text. But Moore also likes to cram tons of detail into his backgrounds, and here we've got several panels with no art at all.

If the plotting and dialogue is still good, then he really would be better off just writing novels. Especially if health problems are making it difficult for him to spend long hours in the workshop.

Except Moore doesn't draw at all. The writer-artist pairing isn't as common in Japan, and perhaps explains a reason why most manga are crap. When you can draw but can't tell a story for crap is something most evident for most aspiring artists.

I actually don't mind his sketches. I find it very efficient and something more artists should be doing. Why bother drawing in super detail every single panel at the expense of time and story quality? Go look at Berserk. People praise it but the artist takes literally forever to make a new chapters and the story is so incredibly slow.

Togashi makes up for his lazy art with a better quality narrative and extremely well-craft panelling. In fact, I've never seen a manga with the kind of smooth panel flow that Togashi does.

no way, it'll work worst. It's why fans can see the narration spam more evidently in the anime. And what do you animate when 90% of the content is just heavy words and deep thoughts? Show the same character standing still for 5 minutes through multiple camera panning angles while the character's voice monotonously drags on for that 5 minutes like some news TV reporter?

Oh my God, and I thought the anime was absolutely dreadful with the narration. And what vexes me so much about the series is that the verbosity is completely unnecessary. If the show had a complex plot or had intricate scenarios where you definitely needed someone to go through the strategies the players used, a la Kaiji or Kakegurui, then I'd say patience, heck I'd be grateful. But this is show is goddamned shonen, it is not complicated at all.

I'd hardly call it a shounen anymore. Fans like to say HxH has become a seinen disguised as a shounen

nah, lose hope in Bethesda, not the gamers. TES online didnt look like a success either until they went free 2 play. And what else could have made them to go free 2 play?
Bethesda is out of touch with fans. They try too hard to innovate beyond their games and try too hard to reach new markets at the expense of their existing fanbase.
Also they're still stuck with perhaps the most overdated s****tiest game engine ever. Like literally, the only thing they have going from their success is by brand name alone. But that can't last for long either.

It's amazing no doubt. It still is. That is, if you can even follow the story anymore. Most people need to reread the chapters again since the text is too freaking overwhelming.

I was still hooked onto this Succession War arc (which plays out alot like game of thrones) but after a while, it gets too tiresome. Not to say it's bad story-wise, because the strategy and tactic and how every character seems to be a max level IQ Einstein is kinda impressive.

yes, it's an actual thing. Togashi writes like this alot, but it seems to get worse and worse over time. The manga was certainly readable back during the earlier arcs, but then you come to the Ant arc and he's spamming narration texts. Come to the Game of Thrones arc and srsly he might as well write a f***Ing book at this point.

I'm ok with the long-ass dialogue and crap in HunterxHunter (or else I'd have stopped at the DC arc) but stuff like this just makes me think Togashi doesn't give a s**** anymore.
Especially given how straightforward the plot can be otherwise, it's like he's just tossing this much text just to crap on readers and purposely make things complicated. I mean c'mon, wtf is this.
