Williams said. Maddie arrived home from school Friday afternoon and quickly learned her mom had made plans for the two of them to go to Chick-fil -A for some mommy-daughter time. Maddie loved Chick-fil-A and she was running through the house, Lt. Williams said. Her mom called me, and we talked for a second. Then one of her friends called and they were talking.

Maddies mom then yelled for Maddie to get ready, they were going to leave shortly. She glanced outside - in the front yard and on the deck but didnt see her. Eugenia Williams went back to her daughters bedroom and saw the television was on. She looked in the bed and didnt see Maddie and thats when she noticed a crack in Maddies closet door. The little girl didnt like for her closet to be open, so her mother immediately went and looked inside and thats when she found her daughter unresponsive. Still on the phone with her friend, she dropped the phone, got Maddie down, screamed for her friend to call 911 and then started CPR on Maddie. Maddie was taken to St. Vincents East to get her stabilized and a helicopter was brought in to transport her to Childrens, but the weather prevented the air flight.

Maddie had ADHD and received one-on-one help at school. There had been incidents, Lt. Williams said, where other children had called her stupid and dumb. It had happened last year, but Maddies parents met with the principal and said it had been taken care of. I felt like we took care of it, he said. We talked to one of her friends and Maddie had apparently had a bad day. The friend said Maddie was bullied and she looked sad while she was being bullied, Lt. Williams said. It must have really worn her out that day.

A federal agent has signed a plea deal in which he admits he received and accessed thousands of images of child pornography. Richard Nikolai Gratkowski, 40, who has been with Homeland Security Investigations since 2008, took a plea offer instead of going to trial. A guilty plea means he faces five to 20 years on the charge of receiving the images and up to 20 years on a count of accessing child porn with intent to view it. He is expected to formalize the deal at a plea hearing expected to be scheduled within a week in federal court in San Antonio. Baker testified that Gratkowskis arrest arose out of an investigation into a child porn website on The Onion Router, or TOR network, which seeks to keep users anonymous by using thousands of relays or servers, much like the layers of an onion. The same investigation also ensnared then-Border Patrol agent Paul Casey Whipple, 35, of Hondo in mid-December.

According to Baker, the website in question provided access to more than 117,000 graphic child porn videos. Gratkowski and Whipple were both identified as users. In Gratkowskis case, he used his USAA bank account and his government ID to buy bitcoin, a cryptocurrency, and open an account on the child porn website in April 2016, Baker said. Gratkowski then established a second account that gave him access to the site through much of 2017. Baker said Gratkowski also visited two other child porn websites on the TOR network and used a social media app called Kik to get to another child porn site. The FBI served a search warrant at Gratkowskis home in early January and recovered two nonworking iPhones and a computer hard drive, but did not find any child porn images, Baker said. But the FBI did find in one of two working iPhones recovered from Gratkowski evidence of links to child pornography, and he admitted visiting the child porn sites, Baker said. He said that in April 2016, he turned to child porn and turned to the site and two other (child porn) sites on the TOR network, Baker testified at the February hearing. He advised hed been in a dark place as a result of problems with his wife, work stressors and financial stressors. He went to the dark net to avoid detection. Baker testified that before the raid, Gratkowski used an anti-forensics program to wipe child porn images from his computers.

It's a lot, but would only be useful for corporate or specialist cases. No home user is going to need that much. I haven't run out of space on a hard drive since the days of sub-100GB hard drives.

I don't know why any private citizen would need something that size. I can't imagine many private citizens need a 1 TB harddrive. This is for big companies, and perhaps groups doing research, and they need to store tons of data on their computer(s).

People who have lots of 1080p and 4K porn and if games keep being 100 GB download files it might be needed as well.

It is unclear where the coins went from there, but its safe to presume that the exit scammer has made attempts to realize his gains in a more transmittable way say paper cash. The post on the subject makes clear that investor tokens are safe, but it, unfortunately, doesnt account for the fact that the overall value of the tokens has been diluted by the arbitrary creation of millions of new tokens for the single purpose of fraudulent enrichment. Oyster also promises to try and make the traders on KuCoin people who unknowingly bought fraudulent coins whole.

With the platform in question, MapleChange that announced over the Twitter explaining that due to a bug, an unnamed group of individuals managed to withdraw funds, adding that it is conducting a thorough investigation and will be unable to make refunds. Having investigated in details, MapleChange concluded that it would be unable to refund its users the fund saying that the exchange has to close down, unfortunately, based on the worse has happened. The social media has follows the same path while closing down.

Amid this, Joseph Young, a crypto-centric journalist and analyst further elaborated matter saying that MapleChange had likely pulled off an exit scam, later bashing small exchanges, and which are only focused on maximizing profitability, while disregarding how its customers (and their funds) are treated and managed. BitLord, a prominent Australian cryptocurrency trader, even went on a six-minute rant about MapleChange, explaining, like Joseph, that small crypto exchanges should be addressed with skepticism. With this, he further added saying that this is what has allowed him to stay in the crypto industry for extended periods of time without substantial losses. Besides this, a well-known CEO of Finance, Changpeng Zhao stated that consumers should avoid exchanges that dont have access to cold wallets at all costs, as a lack of proper storage solutions is indicative of the platforms intent and goals. In order to ward off more complexities, Maplechanged quickly destroyed the exchange by conducting an internal due diligence to know about the people behind the scene scammer. Though certain data pertaining to the platform namely the domain registry information, were not proper and faked already, however, those can be used such that the final clue can find towards all those community users/individual that executed hacking.

A 53-year-old Hagerstown-area man was sentenced Thursday to 14 years in state prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute almost seven ounces of cocaine. Kearney told Dwyer he has had a drug addiction problem for more than 25 years, but has never been in drug treatment.

Kearney had been under surveillance for suspected drug activity when he was arrested in a traffic stop in Frederick County on Nov. 18, 2017, Assistant State's Attorney Michele Hansen told Dwyer. That arrest led to police obtaining a search warrant for his Robinwood Drive address, which resulted in the seizure of nearly 7 ounces of cocaine and a handgun. Several thousand dollars also were seized in the search, Hansen said. As part of the plea agreement, 11 other counts were dismissed, including possession of methadone, Tramadol and Suboxone, along with possession of a firearm in a drug-trafficking crime.

A Hagerstown man previously charged with illegally intercepting telephone calls has been charged again, this time in a privately filed criminal complaint. A woman filed the complaint Monday, charging Dustin Cavanaugh, 30, with one count of interception of communication for allegedly recording a call he made to her workplace and posting it online, according to the application for statement of charges. The woman wrote that a person called the business Saturday "to complain about one of our employees posting things online about him." She told the caller "we have no control over what our employees post online or outside of work," the complaint said. The woman wrote that the caller "didn't like my answer" and called several more times, the document said. "I had to call the police for this to stop," she wrote. "I later that same day got a message on Facebook from Dustin Cavanaugh with a YouTube link," the woman wrote. The link was sent from a page that did not appear to be his, she wrote.

The link "was to a recording of our first phone call. I never gave him permission to record me or put it online," she wrote. "I feel violated by this guy." In a voice-mail message left with Herald-Mail Media, Cavanaugh said he thinks he was wrongly charged. While the criminal complaint was privately filed, the Washington County State's Attorney's Office filed a motion in District Court to amend the document, changing the language from "willfully intercept electronic communication" to "willfully intercept wire communication." The amendment was to bring the charging document in line with "specified charging language" under Maryland law, the motion said. District Judge Mark D. Thomas granted the motion on Tuesday, court records said. The motion stated that the maximum penalty for a conviction is five years in prison. There was no court date listed for the case on online court records as of Wednesday afternoon. On Wednesday, Thomas granted a temporary peace order to the woman who filed the criminal complaint against Cavanaugh. Cavanaugh is not to trespass at or call the business, or contact the woman. Cavanaugh was not at Wednesday's hearing, but Thomas said he might not have yet been served with notice of the petition. A final peace order hearing is scheduled for Monday. During the hearing, the woman said Cavanaugh also was emailing the business. "We're familiar with Mr. Cavanaugh," Thomas told the woman.

In 2017, Cavanaugh was indicted on seven counts of intercepting communication. The allegations involved recordings of calls between Cavanaugh and members of the Hagerstown Police Department, a Washington County District Court commissioner, a deputy with the Washington County Sheriff's Office, an assistant state's attorney and the FBI, court documents said. The investigation began in February 2017 after authorities learned an earlier phone call to a city police evidence custodian had been recorded and placed on YouTube, the documents said. In January, that case was placed on the inactive docket. An inactive case can be recalled by the state for any reason within a year, or for two years after that, if the state can show good cause.
