Grew out of it. If you're a picky eater, you should try to sleep cold and hungry more often.

Unfortunately that doesn't help everyone.

I'm dangerously underweight and whilst I wish I could be eating just as much stuff as other people, there's just so many things that are so unbearable for me to eat. (As in, gagging and whatnot)

(I'm not American so don't know how many states you lot do have but...)

I feel like the topic title is trying to be sneaky, "got separated into 3 different states" can mean A) you now have +2 states or B) California has been split into three, and those three were absorbed by other neighbouring states (so -1 state).

I THINK America has 51 states? That number sounds familiar... So I'm guessing 53. Since that's 51+2.
But then the poll wouldn't have the "51+3" trick answer, so....?

I'm not from America, so not sure how well the drinking water there is.

But some places in Australia have horrid drinking water, so it's pretty much advised to buy bottled water.

Places such as Tassie, even have flammable tap water.

Prreeeeeettttyyy sure it doesn't mean anything to do with one's political ideology.

Funny. I coulda recall someone on PotD mentioned traveling once and a gas station attendant freaked out when he/she started filling up the tank on his/her own. I think it was specially a place with harsh winters.

...wait, is that not the norm in America? As an Australian, I've never seen a petrol station where you didn't have to fuel the thing yourself.
You fill it, then enter the building and pay. They don't ever step outside unless an issue arises.

Two holes.

Logic being:
Say you have an inflatable ball. There's a puncture wound in it, the air's gone, ball deflated. The hole is only on one side of the ball and most people seem to agree that's one hole.

If you had a piece of paper, and there was a hole in it. Sure the hole goes through both 'sides' of the paper, but it's still one- oh...

For what it's worth, both the "new switch" and "new ps5" are just rumours at present, and not anything actually hinted at. Especially with regards to the switch.

I've never played the game but seeing anybody/thing smoke, whether fictional or real, has never made me want to, not even slightly.

This isn't to say I don't think depictions of smoking in media don't influence people (which can range from 'wanting to try it' to 'now I feel like having one'), just that I have not ever wanted to smoke after seeing such things.

Little issue here...

Poll is asking "did you know" yet has no yes option.
"Yes, I EXPECTED it" means no you didn't know but correctly guessed yes.
"No, I'm actually surprised" also is iffy since it means you can't pick that if you didn't know but expected it.

Now, as an Australian my answer is "no, literally wouldn't know how many white, red-haired, glasses wearing or whatever American pollies there is."

Theres a good chance of the extremely rare instances of something like that happening are actually inspired by the BS news coverage

Given the whole multi-state wide recall, political bipartisanship and swift changes to laws relating to such acts, I think what happened in Australia is a tad more than just fear mongering and people inspired by the news.
Granted a lot of copycat scenarios popped up to mimic the original person's tampering.
I think there was about 30 confirmed cases of hospitalisation, and 100 supposed cases of tampering found and reported. Sadly people for some reason started to make fake reports. <<
