Dubbels, tripels, and quads are usually quite low on the hoppiness scale, while singles and golden/dark strongs tend to have a bit more tang... still nowhere near IPAs though. Saisons can also be found with fairly low IBUs but that style is pretty wide so it's not a hard and fast rule. EDIT Forgot to mention I tried grisette not too long ago, light, very refreshing, and far from bitter, almost shandy-ish... a recommended summer beer |

Dude I got mobbed by deer in Nara! I bought some of those treats you can give them, once the herd caught on to me feeding one of their buddies the rest rushed me... kinda cute in the beginning but quickly got weird with deer sticking their snouts in my pockets. EDIT, just read this... Colorahdo posted... FLAMING EVIL HOMER posted...Any of you guys eat kobe beef while there? Seconded, basashi is delicious! I like to think it tasted like some really choice prime rib. |
