Dude, pick up an instrument. Also, you will suck at it for the better part of a couple of years. But persistence pays off.

I actually picked up the guitar 20 years ago and still suck at it so...

Microsoft has much better customer service, and that's a number one.

Sony released a console with parts that they knew would fail, then charged customers $175 dollars to fix. That is the reason I switched to Xbox and never looked back.

Now, as you mentioned, they're basically the same console, plus I get great customer service.

That's a fair analysis, still I think we only really need one of these things in the market. Since PS was first I support them, but whatever, you can keep one and replace the other with a modern-Gen Sega console. I wish I could wave a magic wand and do that.

I liked Sonic Adventure, Silver and Omikron. But those are the only ones I remember. I rented the console from a store called Microplay and their computer system crashed, so I did a bad and kept it.

Genesis had all the great games, really. That's the one you want to pick up if you want a great Sega console. I'm pretty sure there was even a TV adapter for it, which we never saw again afaik until this generation. I'd also recommend a Game Gear.

I know, I owned several Sega consoles and in fact still have my Genesis. I am likely going to get a Dreamcast again soon since I lost my original one several moves ago.

Today's poll of the day reminded me just how sorely missed Sega is in the video game industry. When you had Nintendo, Sega and Sony, you had three console makers with three distinct styles. The industry greatly misses Sega's fun Arcade-style games.

When it was replaced by the X-Box in the industry, it was a net loss. X Box basically is the same thing as Playstation. I'm not here to turn this into a Sony v Microsoft debate, because I could not give a shit about either company, but X-Box basically does the same thing as Playstation. They both play the same games, are the same style, the market already had a system that plays "modern" games in PS. What does X-Box do different? The game library is basically the same.

All you need is a PS to play "modern" games, and then you could have Nintendo and Sega providing their own unique games. What honestly different does X Box do that Playstation wasn't already doing?

I prefer "retro" games because I'm 39 and that's what I grew up with. The 16-bit generation is my favorite

Why? I recently pled down a DWI + several reckless dricing charges to something much more palatable for me. Worked out for me

Not everyone had a chance to even touch the console or are up to use "alternate" means to play it. And I think Link to the Past is a better game in every regard, so there's close to no point in playing the original. Tho that's coming from someone that never beat either of the two games...

Link to the Past is the better game, but that doesn't mean you can't play the original. You don't need the original console, anyone could have played it on the Wii, Wii U or 3DS virtual console's
