Realistically it comes down to how much of a risk it is to me. If it is equal then the toddler. But if it's a matter of little to no risk by just grabbing my dog, vs having to rush into an entirely different unit that is burning to get the toddler, then probably the former. Now where exactly that line is that determines which I pick, I dunno.

In my experience as a TA that was only done for low level, mostly freshmen, type of classes and it was a department policy rather than a teacher made one. I think it was done because they didn't want freshmen failing out due to partying too much would cause them to have lower numbers for the higher level courses which could lead to scheduling issues at that level.

I feel too many people are focused on the idea of needing to earn the money. The bigger deal is the concept of weighing what you want to buy. For instance "if I buy this candy bar today, it means it will take longer to get that video game I want" is a valuable lesson. Eventually they would learn they need more money to get what they want and then that's when the chores for a more substantial allowance comes into play eventually leading to getting a job.

Students who aren't prepared for the class they are taking. I'm not talking about not having a pencil. I'm talking about having middle school math classes that do word searches the entire year.

Teachers who don't teach and get behind by a week 4 weeks into school, when everything is done for them.

Just having to deal with highschoolers. Even if they are generally a good group, which I have, they are still highschoolers. Probably more a sign that I'm in the wrong profession.

Haven't cut my hair in like 18 months. The showers really aren't that long and I don't really want to rush through them anyways. If I really had to I could still shower in about 5 minutes. Of course I'm lucky that my hair dries super fast by itself so I don't have to blow dry it.

What about for men? Because I got 4 currently...

I've always assumed one of two reasons. Either it is because saying July 4th is one less word than 4th of July for example. The more convoluted reason is that when you say the day first it isn't that useful for narrowing down the time frame. If you say the 15th it could be the 15th of June, or 15th of December. Pretty much anytime during the year. However if you say the month first then you have a good idea of the general time of year and then the more specific.
