It's an asian thing, they also have dry ear wax.

Yeah, I have Korean family members and they don't use deodorant, (I never smelled any BO so it might be a thing), and they order special ear cleaners from Korea because their wax is different.

When I see a 'homeless' person with scratchy lotto or a cell phone I'm inclined to not believe them.

With a cellphone, I can believe that. People don't start homeless. A cellphone is also pretty much required when applying for jobs, since they would have few other methods of contact.

I know multiple users here have spent time homeless, one of them talked about using their phone to apply for jobs through free WiFi and charging it in the library.

I used to be homeless as well, during a more troubled part of my past, I had to take care of my little sister after my aunt kicked us out.

Main concern was making sure she had something to eat and could stay warm, though back then, we didn't have mobiles to stay in touch with others and I didn't have anywhere safe to leave her, so she just had to stay with me most of the time while I was trying to get us back on our feet.

(She was 9 at the time.)

Damn. I couldn't imagine kicking out kids.

How often do you see a freight train anymore?

I hear a train go along a small rural spur line a few miles from my house almost daily. The spur services a quarry, a cement plant, a phosphate processor, and several farmer's co-ops.

The rail line in town usually has a train go by every 20 to 30 minutes, it's a Class I line (BNSF).

I used to live in a place even where a train came through almost daily. Always like 3 in the fucking morning too. I lived close to the tracks so it was annoying.

Same here, I think the freight train goes through at least 3 times a day but that 5 am one is the worse when you live next to the tracks.

Dentist have kind of backed off of the flossing in the past few years because other than use it to get that annoying piece of food stuck between your teeth or to look good recent research finds there is no hard evidence in its effectiveness. So don't mumble out a lie when they ask if you floss but do keep your mouth clean and the junk out from between your teeth.

I have put down many animals. We have a farm. I didn't have time to run get a gun. He died quickly and believe it or not mercy killing a pet or even a farm animal isn't fun. It doesn't get easier each time and personally I don't think it should.

If you are talking about his cancer then yeah, I guess I could have taken that responsibility upon myself instead of taking him to the vet to be put down but the vet said he was not in pain from his cancer at this point although it was affecting his gait and we were going to be there soon.

We had no idea how old he was. We have a farm and people drop strays off all the time. He was grey around the muzzle when he showed up around 3 years ago and the cancer was already there. We took him in though. We loved on him and gave him a home when he was abandoned and skinny. He was a good farm dog. I just feel bad because he was always so happy to see me and Damn, I hit him with my car and he wagged his tail at me as he was dying.

And killed it. God, I feel so horrible. The dog was old but still peppy. He had a cancerous growth that the vet couldn't get all of and just kept growing. It caused him to stumble and threw him off balance. I thought he was running beside my car but I guess he stumbled in front of it.

I stopped and he got up, walked up the steps and laid on the porch. I ran up the steps to examine him and he started wagging his tail. I sat and stroked his head, he was bleeding through his nose. He looked at me, took a few ragged breaths and died. I couldn't have made it to the vet because that is 12 miles away.

My daughter is OK. She knew about his cancer and the vet suggesting to out him down at a later date but that doesn't change the fact I feel like shit for running over him.

He wagged his tail at me....poor thing...Omg... I am just sick about it.

If you're supposed to look extremely formal then you're supposed to show up in a suit.

I agree with this. A blazer, white or kakhi pants, even with a tie and nice shirt is not as formal or professional as a suit.

Come to think of it I have never seen that done in real life, just in magazines but where I live we have cornbread dressing which is larrupin good.

Is it really that hard to find a delicious snack that doesn't have risk of aggravating a peanut allergy? This really isnt rocket science.

It kinda is. You have to read a lot of nutritional facts and many are "processed on same machinery" or in same factory. So one of the dedicated nut free candies and snacks you just buy off the shelf is pretty crappy. Oh, and you have to read EVERYTHING. I bought a package of frozen corn and when I got home and and read the package it said "May contain peanuts".

I agree, doughnuts are a weird thing to give. I get it, they are kids but I'd want to go a bit healthier than that as a coach.
