Yeah, for my specific example you could probably just open up a medical book to get what you need. But my point was that the might still be doing research even if the fatalities over over the top.

In regards to whether the specific examples given by the developer are things they might actually do for research, I have no idea. Graphics and animation are completely outside my area of expertise so I'm not really qualified to say what is or is not realistic for reference material. Like I don't know how a video of a cow being slaughtered would help with fatalities on humanoid targets.

I don't think it is as simple as saying that the fatalities are unrealistic so there must not be any research into making them. They may still want parts of the fatality to look real even if most of the fatality is completely fiction. Like it isn't realistic to casually rip out your opponent's spine in one smooth motion but they may want a realistic looking spine to come out anyways.

It's unfair to blame them for something if it really didn't happen. Like let's say the comment about the real-life research really was made up. It would not be fair to blame a person in the company for that.

Thinking on it a bit, it's kind of funny how much they've said that this is in development for PS4. Like, we all know PS5 is going to be out by 2021, and even with it being backwards compatible it seems folly to dedicate yourself to a sprawling multi-episode epic when I'd be stunned to see even the first episode released before the PS4 is old hat.

It's possible it comes out for both the PS4 and PS5 at the same time and they just can't mention the PS5 version yet.

Gen 3 Infantry units roughly have the same stat total as Gen 1 Armored unit. Corrin is a trainee again (for some reason) so she matches a Gen 1 Armored Trainee unit.

I can't wait for FE9 Sothe to come out so we have a ranged infantry unit with a higher stat total than Halloween Jakob.

I would say it's better to watch the two TV series then read up about the difference between the recap movies and the TV series. There's really only one change that kinda big. The new movie takes place in the same timeline as the recap movies but even that one change doesn't matter too much so you can watch the new movie off of just the TV series.

Code Geass Recap movie spoilers
I had heard that the recap movies changed a few things so I ended up watching them before going to see Resurrection. I sort of wonder what people who didn't know about the changes thought when Shirley was treated as being alive in Resurrection.

Another interesting change is they got rid of the cart driver in the recap movies. At the end of the last recap movie, C.C. is just traveling alone. Back in the day a popular theory was that the cart driver was really Lelouch who survived Zero Requiem somehow. The cart driver being Lelouch wouldn't work with how Lelouch is at the start of Resurrection so if they left it in it would have actually confirmed that Lelouch was not the cart driver.

Luna Arc is like Giga Excalibur. It adds the bonus damage on after applying the opponent's defense and it doesn't need to cover for going into the negatives. At 115 defense, Alm is getting 28 points of bonus damage. After applying defense, Alm's damage goes to 0 then goes back up to 28 which is an OHKO on 27 HP. Alm's attack stat actually doesn't matter at all so even Lv1 Alm can do this with Luna Arc and no other skills.

-HP, +Def original Elise is standing on a fort. She has Distant Defense 4, Even Def Wave 3 and a Distant Defense 3 SS. Even Def Wave just activated.
To her north, south, east and west are allied Kaden with Kitsune Fang and Ward Cavalry.
One of them has the Drive Def 2 seal and another has Fortify Def 3.

That's 27HP and 115 Defense against ranged physical attacks.

Lv1 Legendary Alm OHKOs her.

Luna Arc is kinda silly as a weapon. It makes me wonder what Rend Heaven will be like as a skill if it ever comes out.

SSBM looked fine in the previous games contest. It did about as well on Chrono Trigger as FF10 did which is roughly where you would expect SSBM to be.
