Just rewatched it

It's sorta decent as a standard origin story. That is, if it's supposed to be Nick Fury's origin story and not Captain Marvel's.

There's this theme of how carol keeps getting told "control your emotions" but like brie is so emotionless the entire time, even after unleashing her full power. She still acts like the same stone cold person

I keep thinking back to that one honest trailers scene that explains it best



Don't know if it's necessarily Brie's fault or the director's but talk about wasted opportunity.

No it didn't? The writing and pacing of the movie was legit bad. I don't want to say it's "generic" like others have, but the pacing and dialogue was legit awful. Hated Brie's still life acting, too. felt so lifeless and samuel stole the show every time he was on screen

Gonna rewatch tonight it for the first time since I saw it in theatres so maybe I'm just remembering it wrong

Try to avoid some of the crime ridden areas, drove through there once with my brothers and we saw two crime scenes back to back. Not a great experience
