In Seattle I had shootings outside my apartment multiple times, I got robbed, multiple instances of violence breaking out on public transit, and Seattle is one of the safer big cities in the US.

No it's not Seattle is infamous for it's shootings and aside from Detroit and Chicago it has one of the worst reputations for violence.

I had one female friend try to do this, only she tried to introduce me to a table full of girls instead specifically trying to set me up with a specific girl. I went with it and got completely ignored like not even a hi from any of them or anything.

Mostly guy friends tried to set me up but that always went nowhere, usually get shot down but I guess in that case at least I was acknowledged.

You guys keep saying we don't have a problem with diversity, yet every other critique video about Star Wars and nerd culture in general complains about diversity.

Diversity is never a problem and only the smallest of handful of people think otherwise, problem is people beating you over the head with and/or promote it as one of the primary if not the most prominent aspects of your movie just to jerk off to how progressive you are.

In case you didn't notice OT Rebellion was very diverse in both skin color and aliens, and the trilogy had a strong female character as one of the 3 primary characters. Meanwhile the Empire high ranked officers and officials were all white men.

She's shown as incredibly gullible, easy to trick, easily starstruck, constantly having crises of confidence and lacking self-worth, getting captured twice, and more or less relying on the support of her newfound friends and parent figure all throughout episodes 7 and 8.

I will agree that 7 and 8 kind of made the First Order into a He-Man villain level threat to the main characters, albeit successfully wiping out the Republic capital and wiping out almost the entirety of the Resistance, but is her not getting her butt kicked yet really that critical of a difference between her and Luke?

And added spoiler tags just in case.

Her 1st kidnapping she escapes with no help, granted she needs help getting off the Star Killer base. She only really has one brief instance where she questions herself and wants to get away from everything and that's resolved in 15 seconds flat. Finn goes through that arc twice. Her 2nd kidnapping which required Kylo's help to escape was her giving herself up trying to redeem Kylo ala Luke trying to save Vader in RotJ

Rey isn't that bad of a character and nothing personally against Daisy Ridley but she could use less obvious plot armor

Actually there is one moment for Rey Snoke toys with her some and Kylo saves her. But compared to Luke she still gets off pretty easy with no serious injuries or repercussions

Rey's a Mary Sue because she's a scavenger who fended for herself for over a decade, became an experienced staff fighter, mechanic, and pilot prior to episode 7 as detailed by the plot setup and several scenes directing herself as such, and was able to beat a more experienced force user in a lightsaber fight because he was badly wounded and taking her lightly, but Luke wasn't a Gary Stu because a random farmer with junkyard swoop piloting skills totally translates to being an immediately excellent starfighter pilot, turret gunner, blaster marksman, and force user capable of directing a pair of proton torpedoes at long range with a single training session under his belt.

Main character get plot armor to some extent but here's the thing about Luke:
Was almost murdered by Tusken Raiders, saved by Obi-wan
Nearly assaulted at the bar saved by Obi-Wan
Nearly drowned then was almost crushed in a garbage dump ultimately saved by the droids
Was mauled by a Wampa and almost died on the cold saved by Han
Was shot down by an AT-AT
Vader smoked him in a duel and cut off hand, completely destroyed him emotionally by dropping the truth about him being Luke's father
Hell even in RotJ he gets shot and the hand and electrocuted, saved by Papa Vader

Rey has no moments of weakness like this and don't need no help cause she's am empowered woman. She is a Mary Sue

For a lot of people it's not just about standards. It's about putting themselves out there and having competent social skills.

This. I don't have any social or practical skills. And mind you I put myself out there a lot in late high school and college, some of the girls I went for were way out of my league but by no means all of them were or at least I thought.

Got rejected all around and kinda gave up since I don't meet too many new women my age anymore especially those that are single. I mean I could start going for women in their 50s+ age range but it would feel really weird to try to date/bang women around my parents age.

There was a lady at my current job I had a crush on. Didn't really know her that well. Just pretty and a good personality. Turned out she was already engaged and is now married.

It's not like I've really been trying though. Women are fun but can be a headache. My ex made me kind of "scared" of women. That she could treat me so poorly and seemingly not care about how she treated me. Like no remorse. At all.

Obviously I'm not saying all are like that. They are actually probably pretty rare. But she left some emotional scars for sure.

The shit I've heard that some exes do terrifies me (one of my cuz's exes was batshit insane), but I never experienced a relationship before and it's left an enormus void in my life.

I was once the same, even recently. Found someone online and now we love eachother and it'll be 6 months here right at the end of DEC.

You just gotta get out there. Gamefaqs is fun but will never get you married or happy.

I mean don't get me wrong especially when I was in college I still tried to flirt and find other girls. Not too long ago there was another girl I had a bit of a crush where I worked but I didn't see her to often and ended up getting a different job. Bottom line is I'm just not good at the whole romance/flirting shtick.

For me long story but there was a girl I went to high school with and oddly ended up in the same dorm building in college. I was absolutely crazy for her but never felt like I was remotely good enough for her.
