Beat it. What a strange strange game. I definitely wouldn't call it GOTY or anything but it had this weird endearing quality to it

Yeah that ending bit of wandering the beach waiting for Amelie exposition dragged too long. I was fine with simply walking along the beach as "I'll Keep Coming" played but those long gaps of nothing waiting for Amelie to just restate things was annoying.

The Die-Hardman scene was great. Kudos to the actor.

I am confused about the last bit. Was Sam's BB his kid that he thought he lost or was it just some random one? Maybe its implied in some logs or something which I never got around to looking at.

I am also kind of bummed this didn't turn out to be Silent Hill because it feels like it would have fit well with it. C'mon Kojima, grab Junji Ito and make some wacky ass horror with this shit next game.

Man DMCV and KH3 got snubbed on GotY. What the fuck is Control? Meh whatever, I guess its somewhat expected due to release time and such but Control? Seems like an odd choice out of what could be there.

Anyway my choices / expectations atm:

GotY:
Resident Evil 2. Would be happy with Sekiro too.

Best Game Direction:
Sekiro, OW, or RE2

Best Narrative:
Disco Elysium.

Best Art Direction:
Death Stranding I guess?

Best Score/Music
I'd be happy with DMCV or KH3 winning. Might give the edge to DMCV for me because Devil Trigger is too good.

Best Audio Design:
Probably will end up going to Death Stranding though might give vote to RE2

Best Performance:
Its probably going to end up going to Reedus

Best Action Game:
DMCV. Astral Chain would be acceptable but it should be DMCV

Best Action/Adventure Game:
Sekiro

Best RPG:
Kingdom Hearts 3. The others would be alright winners though.

Best Fighting Game:
It's probably gonna end up being Smash even though Mortal Kombat should get it. Its hilarious Jump Force is on here though

Best Family Game:
Again its gonna be Smash. Poor Luigi's Mansion 3 deserves the love though so that is getting my vote.

Best Strategy Game:
Probably going to be Fire Emblem

Best Sports / Racing Game:
Crash I guess don't really care

Best Multiplayer:
Dunno Tetris 99 I guess? Might toss vote for Borderlands 3.

Indie:
Outer Wilds

Games for Impact:
Sea of Solitude?

Best Ongoing Game:
Should be XIV. Its likely going to go to Fortnite.

Best Independent Game:
Outer Wilds or Goose probably

Best Mobile Game:
Don't know random pick.

Best Community Support:
Again probably going to go to Fortnite because Fortnite.

Best VR:

At this point who the fuck knows? Originally (after WOTLK) it was that she was utterly fucking terrified of dying as she would end up in WoW's SUPER HELL. She died a couple of times already and she is running low on Valkyr auto revive bitches. So she sought out means to get super immortality. Yet throughout this, she goes on to make an enemy out of literally everyone and putting a giant "KILL ME" sign on her back with all her actions.

Now she supposedly wants to kill everyone and everything because reasons. Could be because of angst. Could be that she is playing 4D Chess against various entities and will end up pulling a Kerrigan 2.0. Who knows?

Well, presumably there needed to be a Lich King to prevent the shadowy monster from escaping.

Was that even related (at first I thought it was upside down Shadowlands Icecrown but its supposedly something else)? It seemed to only matter when the crown was destroyed. Speaking of which why would the crown be tied to / smash open a portal to the Shadowlands in the first place?

Sorry but the Sylvanas wankery to THAT degree was just bad to me.

Like, first off she didn't even seem remotely winded or tense wiping out Lich King + his huge posse solo. Then she just rips apart such a huge important lore item like it was nothing? With her bare hands no less? Something like that you'd think would require smashing with the Ashbringer like when Frostmourne was shattered.

They could have at least had her struggle. I mean she was up against a representation of what was the worst moment in her life and she just treats it like it was nothing but trivial shit. They should have also had her with an undead loyalist posse of her own. That would have at least made some sense and also look cool.

Saw the Shadowlands trailer and it was kind of lackluster compared to the other trailers. Doesn't help it was focused on Sylvanas who I loathe.

Her not only soloing the Lich King, but an army of Scourge, and ripping apart the Helm of Domination with her BARE HANDS was fucking stupid. Seriously, she's gotten fanfic tier broken out of nowhere. Poor Bolvar.
