This episode had some problems just like most do...but it was fine. GoT fans are basically becoming insufferable and just looking for a reason to whine.

I whined non-stop about the white walker episode this season because it was so fucking bad, but people seem to be whining about this episode more despite it being superior in every way, and we could actually see what was happening on this one.

Its pretty much the same women that have always been there, isnt it? Cant recall any major women characters that died before this season- besides Catelyn Stark but no one likes her.

Reason 11: Totally and pointlessly wasted the Dothraki

They were utilized extremely well for the narrative of the episode

Suiciding into blackness with plain metal weapons? They didnt know Melisandre would give them fire. Awful battle plan.

I mean, the Dothraki aren't known for being master tacticians, just being ruthless in battle.

They were following Jons battle plan.

If that episode was the most disappointing for you then I cant even imagine how disappointing most of life must feel to you. I was hyped to all hell so it would have been really easy for me to be disappointed but it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.

I liked all of season 7 which everyone hated. I liked 8.1 which was hated. Im not one to complain and be snobby. But that truly was a letdown and I think Ill be holding the popular opinion on that honestly.

Reasons why this was the most disappointing episode ever:

1. Longest episode so far with the longest battle scene ever. Basically it was supposed to be epic and it wasnt.

2. Couldnt see what was going on for a little more than half the episode. Very poor quality.

3. I like Lyanna Mormont as much as the next person, but her killing a giant is just silly.

4. The writers had no balls in terms of killing important characters. These writers shocked the world with Ned and then later Robb/Cat. Where are those writers? Cowards.

5. Beric survived for 8 years and was revived like 11 times just to save the girl who will kill the Night King? Seems like an underwhelming purpose for the Brothers Without Banners.

6. Plot armor for Jon, Dany, Brienne, Jamie, Sam, and a few others was just absurd.

7. Weve been hearing Winter is Coming for 8 years. Winter came and left in 80 minutes. No second part to the battle or anything. A little girl stabs NK and poof...done. Quite anti-climatic. They did very little damage that the viewers give a shit about.

8. Im literally not sure if another of Danys dragons is dead due to poor quality.

9. Im not sure I even understand what NKs end game was. Kill a cripple boy?

10. Literally Cersei and her obnoxious new lover Euron are the final bosses of the show.

Tonight is the night that Beric Dondarrion kills the Night King and becomes King of Westeros. Youll see.

I really liked this episode. It was famservisey for sure but half those guys are going to die next week. We needed fan service.

My predictions for next weeks major deaths:
Gendry
The Hound
Brienne
Grey Worm
Sansa
Davos

I agree since Beric isnt on that list.

Beric once again stole the show and proved why hell become King of Westeros.
