Besides the factor of ghost magic, you have to keep in mind that's just how Mario-verse logic works. Ironically, the the only section of the expanded Mario verse that seems to be more toned down is probably Warioware, & that's because it has such a modern urban vibe overtone, compared to the cartoonish fantasy of the other Mario related series.

All of you posting all the random phrases to trademark, you could most certainly at least attempt it, though you PROBABLY wouldn't succeed. It's not like this is the first time opportunistic asses have tied to take undue credit for something. Pretty sure someone has tried to trademark "winner, winner, chicken dinner" & multiple tries for "it's on like Donkey Kong", including one from Nintendo, but at least Nintendo can lay legit claim with actually owning the Donkey Kong IP.

I think the one of the most underhanded moves would be the attempt to trademark Linux before Linus Torvalds actually bothered to take it himself. We really do need to laws to deter this kind of stuff.

Depends on the nature of the series. A more lighthearted take could easily get away with it, without much trouble. A parody could make it a joke. If you gave it some backstory & context, you could make a serious story around it.

Exactly. In a traditional supply & demand market, things would go down eventually, as unmoved product was a lost to some degree. Now, digital has no supply & the producer has near complete control, meaning the only real pressure for price is consumer demand.

Yeah, as already pointed out many times here, most restaurants have some level of prepackaged food that usually serves as a breaking point for quality/consistency & to make it much easier to quickly prepare.

I think Krispy Kreme is one of the few major chains that still makes stuff on site these days. I was honestly surprised to learn that even the Krispy Kreme donuts that you can buy in stores, are usually made locally by one of their shops.

Relatively speaking, most wealth & status symbols are an exercise of impracticality. When being fat was difficult because the of the scarcity of food, it was valued. Now that we have cheap & abundant high fattening food, it's more attractive to have a body mostly only attainable by the ability to sink excess time in a gym.

Also why for lighter skinned people, tanning is a status symbol that is possible from being able to leisurely lounge in the sun when it was once shunned as something people who did excess physical labor outdoors attained. Most people spend their time inside nowadays, so being able to tan is mostly something that says you have time to waste on something like that.

The average human is lucky to make much past 80, without notable medical support, making any depiction of a being past that as pure speculation. Also, she's "not human", & while I haven't played Zestiria, I know enough about JRPGs in general to say it's probably not her "true form" anyway, & her appearance is mostly for show, fan appeal & consistency if she's ever playable, outside comedy relief moments.

Nazz's age actually matters, because the (original) premise of that show, was kids with an infinite summer break. Her attractiveness is primarily meant for the other boys who are also her age.

Most "loli" characters are focused on anime, which unless it's a school setting or slice of life, the ages are mostly irrelevant outside of specific moments that need it to be.

When you get right down to it, most fictional character ages are an informed attribute anyway, unless it's relevant to the context of the setting. So many "teen" characters basically function as adults, until it's relevant to bring up their age, that you wouldn't know otherwise if a number weren't given somewhere. It's why people are suddenly okay with most sexual character depictions, as soon as you flip the age from "15" to "18", despite not changing the character's actual aesthetics.

Also, no matter how weird or convoluted loli may get, it'll never be nearly as creepy as the people who hold those "countdown" things. Those people who make like a girl has no sexual appeal before she's 18, but she magically becomes free real estate at the stroke of midnight.

I've been thinking about the idea for a while now, but let's just say that we've finally invented some kind of paint that can take in sunlight to be converted to electricity, & that electric cars reach a level of efficiency that unless you're a heavy driver, drive a lot at night, or it's been very cloudy lately, you wouldn't likely need a "recharge" station. I mean, our cars already spend so much time just sitting in the sun, so wouldn't it be nice if it also powered them?

Realistically, most jobs shouldn't even take applications anymore, because almost all SERIOUS hiring happens via connections & casual acquaintances. Online applications are just the worst, since they lower the barrier to entry to simply clicking a few buttons, which means many positions get bombarded with applicants who aren't even remotely qualified, & most employers have no intention of ever even reading most.

In most any other circumstance, I would consider questionable, but this does at least make some effort to discourage Epic from attempting to poach games that were developed on crowd funded premises of releasing on Steam, that decide to enter EGS exclusive deals, "just 'cause" Epic dumped a bunch of money on their door, at the last minute.

Once you record it, it becomes porn, & having it involving minors makes it insanely illegal. In fact, teens expressing their sexuality in any recorded form, whether it be photos, Facebook, or even texting, is all in the technical sense, highly illegal by default. Without regard for context, you could charge all minors for any form of sharing sex materials of themselves with each other, on the grounds of being a child sex trafficking ring. It's honestly something that needs to be addressed legally, with kids gaining smartphones & developing online presences earlier & earlier these days.

I've always had a firm personal belief that most companies wouldn't pay you, if they could figure out a way to get people to go for it, & the NCAA, many "unpaid internships", the idea that people should work for "experience" or "exposure", & the mentality that you should just volunteer, all support that.

Anyway, the few things it's actually used for seems to be limited to basic "gestures" such as swiping & functioning as a big button. I doubt it could handle mapping all of Advents forms, & most certainly wouldn't let you handle a gimmick like Siarnaq's Model P homing shots.

Y'know, I would be into this, but I just can't imagine how you're supposed to properly do Advent without touchscreen transformation. Sure you could just map the most relevant ones to buttons or just leave it to the transformation wheel (both in the pause menu & the "suspend" transformation), but there's no way to get that same fluidity over all 16 forms. Also curious how they'll handle a few other anomalies like Siarnaq's touch target ability, especially since there's a medal for using it.

Also for anyone who's mentioned it, Battle Network & Star Force collections are unlikely to ever happen, as the anime tie-ins & Boktai/Lunar Knights content complicate things a bit.
