You "equip" magic to boost your attributes. The stronger the spell and the more casts of the spell you have saved up the better the effect will be.

So you effectively draw magic from things until you have 100 and you never actually cast the spells*. They are just batteries that turn your characters into veritable Gods.

*a notable exception is using Life to kill undead bosses in a single spell.


Yeah i got the boost stats bit I think I used to use the spells and end up dying lol particularly toward the end. Tbh i wasnt massively a fan of the game so i just tried to blast thru it.

I did really like some of the characters tho, mainly Quistis.

I have still never to this day actually beaten FF8. I only played it once when it came out. I just played through normally without paying much attention to the junction system (tbh i dont evem know if i actually understand it to this day as ive never replayed). Until ultimecias castle. Im sure I got through most of the bosses but never actuallu beat her.

Hey, congrats on all counts! I won't be able to trade for her in H2 anymore though so hopefully Kaelee comes back to fill in some blanks along with Tom and tennis's ongoing solid support... been a great run.


No worries the assist in getting her here has been amazing. I am completely expecting her to take 10th and I cannot be be unpleased with that. But if by any miracle she does last beyond that, feel free to toss any free saves her way.

Im pretty sure this is also going to be my last contest too, so for her to get her best performance is amazing.

So super happy Aerith has made the top 10 (assuming no laywering).

Four wins in my first ballroom/latin dance competition AND Aerith gets top 10.

She has the highest base magic stat, which can be boosted by access to some of the the best magical boosting and female equipment. She can be frail tho.
I just find her fun to use but im generally drawn toward mage types.
