A collectivist view that assigns institutional privilege or oppression to people based on their demographics. Its similar to original sin, but different insofar as how not everyone has the same amount of this original sin.

Its a religion that lacks a god, but still has devils and faith. Privilege to SJWs is like Satan to evangelical Christians. Its always there and requires constant effort to combat.

Alright, so you have no idea what you're talking about

We were just thinking of different types of romance. I was thinking sexual romance.

Romance does, on occasion, get pushed in a sexual way.

It's all good.

We were talking specifically about representation in media, where there's no "sexual romance" genre.

Blame google image. Typed both gay romance and just romance and that's what is showed.

or
- Are projecting your own reservations onto a general audience

What other people consume and do is their business.

I'm not blaming Google images for your preconceived notions. And you're providing a rationale for most straight people, not you.

And that's okay lol

If you weren't into straight romance, then that would be okay too.

Two dudes kissing or whatever just isn't for me. It just doesn't attract or allure me in anyway, that's all. Will I completely avoid something because it depicts it? No, I didn't say that.

Never shown? It's basically been normal in all of entertainment for the last 20 years since Ellen did her thing.

How many (%-wise) blockbusters or TV shows on national television have had a gay main character? And even more, in how many of those was the character being gay a central theme?

Most people are straight and would probably be more interested in straight romance relationships being depicted in media. I would imagine that even people who are super progressive are more likely to be interested in romance stories that they can relate to. Gay people are probably more interested in gay romance. I mean, that just makes sense to me lol.

The majority are straight, therefore the majority depiction in media will be straight.

Is the percentage proportional to the distribution of the population?
Furthermore, I object to your contention that "most people would probably be more interested in straight romance". There are several objections to this. For one thing, not nearly all media need to be centered on romance. If it's not, I don't see why a straight person would have a preference. Secondly, a person being straight isn't a reliable predictor of what their media interests are. Why would straight people be less interested in gay romance? Unless there's a homophobic aspect to your assumption. Why wouldn't a straight person be able to relate to a gay romance story? Is gay love somehow different? Wasn't Orange is the new Black one of the more successful TV shows for a long while?
I mean, a large part of why gay people would be more interested in gay romance is because they feel they are under-represented. LGBTQ characters are still often written like being LGBTQ is their one defining feature, and are often token side characters. It's certainly getting better IMO, but it's still quite far from the norm.

I feel I burdened my guy enough yesterday, I know logically he is there for me and such, but it didn't help me to talk, all I felt was bad feelings and thoughts and it made it worse. I can talk to my mom but I don't want to burden her either right now.

It's difficult to divorce yourself from thoughts of burdening others, but when you're sick you're sick, and people around you actually want to help.
