A shooting happened where Pete is the mayor. An officer was responding to someone breaking into vehicles. When the officer tried to make contact, the suspect came at him with a knife and the officer shot.

Local news stations generally report these types of things, but no one ever hears about it unless they live there and are paying attention.

By media coverage, I'm referring to air time across multiple media outlets and print from at least several of the mainstream ones.

It's very common knowledge plenty of stories regarding potential racism against blacks routinely make many headlines. This story has more than just 'potential' racism -- and the victim was beaten and raped. Why no coverage?

Things like this make Trump's view of the media very valid. They're manipulators and don't report the news. Or, as Trump would say, 'fake'.

I can't picture Biden winning, but this election will take place after four years since last election; a lot of new voters, more changing demographics, etc.

Biden can't hang at all. If he gets the nomination, he'll need to be propped up by celebrities and media just as Hillary was. Towards the end, Trump did up to 5 rallies a day. I can't picture Biden doing the same. Biden is honestly boring. And it's true when Trump says Obama took him off the trash heap.

The media doesn't heavily cover certain shootings. There's only one narrative. The last major workplace shooting, many people dead, was swept under the rug. I think it took them several days to even release his photo, but the story is dead now.

I knew lots of Trump supporters. They were the same people who always supported Republicans no matter what. Now they hate the guy. Not "they're Dems now" hate, of course, but they're deeply disappointed in the man they voted for and spent so much time defending.

Everyone else I know still supporting him are like members of a cult. They bring Trump into every conversation, no matter how unrelated to politics it was. Their social media pages are almost exclusively pro-Trump memes now. Hell, most of them hardly even take care of themselves anymore. Greasy hair, smell bad, etc. The "Trump Derangement Syndrome" they accuse liberals of having is their own sickness.

They're not the people I knew before 2015. I want them back.

Fair enough. My experiences are different. I don't know about your friends or social circumstances, but I haven't personally experienced anyone "letting themselves go" because of Trump support.

Not necessarily. But for this situation, it's pretty much the only metrics that can be used. I could say Trump is much more popular because of crowd size. He could say Trump is less popular because of protests. Polls can bridge the gap and meet us in the middle, and according to them, little's statement doesn't hold too much water.
