Inferno Dive Dragoon 10/03/19 6:43:47 PM #68	Marvel has a bunch of likable and entertaining female comic characters that would have been so much easier to convince movie-goers to back (hello: She-Hulk, Rogue, Storm, Kitty Pride, Spider-Gwen, Black widow, Squirrel Girl, etc). Unfortunately most of them are mutants, which Disney didn't have access to, they were also awkward as fuck about using anyone tied to Hulk or Spider-Man as well, I assume due to lingering license issues. But hell, they could have just pushed Scarlet Witch or Black Widow and people would have been all over that. Instead they pull some BS about how they can't over-focus on Wanda because she's too powerful (and then in the same breath announced they were going to buff Carol), and I don't even know if they're still going through with Natasha's solo flick. +++ Once X-Men and Fantastic Four join the MCU, do you think Captain Marvel will still be the most prominent female? God I hope not, they'll have so many better options at that point that they would have to be literally mentally impaired to keep thinking Danvers is the horse worth backing. But I'm already preemptively steamed at how they're probably maybe going to fuck over Rogue due to her connection with Danvers. I have little doubt that they'll; A. Keep Rogue with only her drain powers forever because she won't be stealing anything permeantly from Carol or anyone else for that matter. B. She will get similar powers somehow but they'll be deliberately nerfed so she doesn't show up Carol and may even end up just being a jobber so Carol can shine more. C. They literally never use her at all. Don't care how nerd ragey it makes me sound, but I get irate when folks mess with my Marvel waifu, it only gets worse when it comes bundled with gross favoritism for one of my least favorite Marvel characters overall. I don't even know who the fuck Brie Larson is beyond this one role, I just know my disdain for Danvers pre-dates the MCU and it gets tiresome when people get the wrong idea about why I don't like the character. --- Les aristocrates a la lanterne!
