My DVR will also now skip an already skipped ad after my app updated. I just found out a few minutes ago. Also, as a rule, I don't watch shows or movies hosted by the network unless they're on my DVR. So you have the no ads version of Hulu. Live TV is totally different and simply a stream of the network. Ads don't replay. So you have experience with Hulu ads with only one show. Binging a series like BSG has 20 hours of ads. And the issues of replaying ads is definitely real. Before that, you needed their Fire crap, which ultimately doesn't provide as much freedom as a Chromecast. And I have had a few Fire Sticks for years. Hulu sucks because of their ads and there's not enough on there to justify double the price, especially when it comes bundled for free with stuff like Sprint or Spotify (I have two Hulu subs because of that). Some codes have expired, but the major studios have always reupped it after a bit. Some might not redeem where it was supposed to, but should still redeem at MA.
