It's was out in la so it qualifies for the Oscar's. Everyone else gets it in a couple weeks.

The fact that it's not being advertised as a one shot, and the trailers don't make it look like one, shows that its not just a gimmick. It's done to tell the story, namely the horror of war and the uncertainty around it.

It's by far my most anticipated movie of 2020

You hide the cuts with fast camera movements and other tricks.

They actually come out and mention some of the cuts, in some of the prerelease videos.
By one take, they meant, real-time.

There is no way a film like this could be done in one take.

It makes sense considering force users who lost limbs were shown to be less powerful afterwards. Star Wars had this before The Phantom Menace came out as well.

Anikin was burnt to a crisp be he turned out pretty strong.

I had a boss call the police on a newish hire because she didn't show up for a shift.
She leapfrogged from maybe she doesn't realize she was scheduled to maybe she's dead.

Speaking of deaths. A coworker of mine lost her grandmother, which was devastating to her.
Anyway, she had three days bereavement. Same manager was so stupid she thought her natural days off were part of the Bereavement period. Called her on her days off and told her she had to work the next, which was wrong. My coworker came into work completely broken. I don't even think she got an apology.

Same manager, once called me to the office to tell me not to do anything about a woman peeing profusely in a chair.

And those are just the stories that are easy to tell.

I just went out and made a random fire in the back yard, and cut down a tree that was already fallin over, but I used a dope saw and got through most of it...then let it stand, and wait until nature took over.

A while after doing the sawing, and chillin with the fire, I figured I would clean some of the snow...which was kinda icy of my car... As I walked to do that...the tree stump fell. I wish I was closer. But the plan still worked out.
