As a horror fan, to me The Exorcist still holds up as the scariest movie of all time. Just a great film and deserved the oscar nom it got at the time.

In recent years nothings really scared, The babadook was a little unsettling the first time I watched it, but nothing comes to mind in recent years that isn't just pure torture porn which I personally don't enjoy

When you're listening to Tool, just remember that they're not like other bands. Their music is incredibly artistic, almost to the point where you have to be paying complete attention to them to even remotely understand them. I remember listening to a song on Lateralus (though I can't remember what it was), where I thought a song was absolute bollocks during the listen. Then, I closed my eyes for a second, and all of a sudden the song had an entirely new meaning. It was insane the way Tool could just become something so different when you take a look into the music.

Another thing you should note about Tool is that it's easy to get a headache listening to them. Not because they're a bad band, but because of how many ideas their music is riddled with and how complex they are. Soon enough your head will fill to the brim and the rest will just sound like noise to you. Just turn it off and give it a listen the next day.

If you don't like the music, you'll definitely at least enjoy reading through the lyrics, and picking apart the song itself and all of the artistic values that go into making it the complexity that it is.

It's also a great gift buying spot. I generally get people books as gifts (coffee table books, etc) and it's much harder doing that via amazon. A gift is all about presentation so I like to see the book in person to see if its impressive. Once I have it in hand at that point I buy it.

Also, I work in entertainment and at times I've needed a play day of and can't wait for amazon. Standard novels and such though yeah amazon.

This.

Because of that I think Mario and Pac-Man are the two choices. They're probably even.

I'd argue that Mario might even have a SLIGHT edge in that all generations from my 90 year old grandma to little kids know who Mario is, but I wonder if young kids have as much awareness of Pac-Man these days

One time I gave a bartender $20 on a 30 something dollar tab because she gave me her number tho lmao

Also, tbf DL for a day is different then going on a vacation to Disney World but DL can be a great date spot.

fuck I wish I could play BB again for the first time.

It was my first souls game I purchased, I heard how hard they were but I was like "ehh lemme see for myself". On my first play through I kept missing the Cleric Beast and ending up at Father G so I never got the ability to level up. Obviously I was getting destroyed and I was like "fuck this I'm gonna trade it in."

Then a few days later I fired it up one more time at 2am, and found the cleric beast by accident then everything clicked and I was hooked. Played it for two weeks straight with all my free time and got the plat. One of the best gaming experiences I've had in years

Wish we'd have them in LA :(
