I always loved dodge ball, but as the years went on we got to play it less in school. I remember the teacher saying they didn't like dodge ball anymore because it's dangerous.

There is simply no way a kid can be charged for playing dodge ball. I don't understand it, sadly, I can understand how the school could be held responsible for having kids play a game and one get relatively seriously injured (you can die from brain bleed on a concussion)

Maybe the other kid shouldve dodged the ball...

The real problem is that they've done studies that suggest people today have gotten so mentally tied up in the idea of what bananas are supposed to look like, that they might not be willing to accept a new breed if it looks too different.

And at the moment, the only banana breeds we know of that taste sort of similar to the current breed all look significantly different, which has been a huge turn-off for people in surveys and market research. Especially since they don't taste exactly the same, so that's a negative for people as well.

Maybe people will be more likely to tolerate the difference when they literally have no other choice, but it might also gut the banana industry in general if people stop buying bananas in bulk.

It's probably because of how ridiculous some of the people bashing him online tend to get.

I generally consider myself relatively neutral in that particular fight, and I still kind of chuckle at how stupid some of the more vocal whiners tend to get about literally everything he does, to the point where they just come across more like petty assholes and childish crybabies than they do the valiant crusaders against injustice and corruption they like to see themselves as.

The really funny part is, all the complaining about minor things and constant insults/abuse has effectively created a "sky is falling"/"boy who cried wolf" sort of situation, where even when major things DO occur, or stuff Trump probably SHOULD be criticized for happens, a lot of people completely ignore it because they've spent the last few years being conditioned to tune out criticism. A lot of otherwise neutral or centrist people no longer give a single shit because they just assume the anti-Trump fanatics are blowing everything out of proportion (as usual). The people who hate him the most and can't stop ranting about him may be his most effective supporters.

I think this is my first time hearing about cauliflower crust, tbh...

Well when we are dealing with a top 5 worst president ever, this makes some sense. Facebook rigged the fucking election to help Trump 4 years ago so turnabout is fair play.

First off, citation needed. Secondly, fucking yikes. Is this Stockholm syndrome? Just because a giant company seems to currently align with your politics you're ok with them rigging elections and filtering the information the general public gets to their liking? And you dont question why they want to do that? Put politics to the side for a second and think about how fucked up this actually is ffs

I gotta appreciate how you said less biased, because humans by nature can't completely avoid being biased. (Genuine sentiment btw.)

Did... you not read? She was relating her story to one of a girl who got murdered by a dude who was obsessed with her. This shit happens a lot, and people have been using twitter to talk about their lives for a LONG time now.

I checked his imdb page and i haven't seen any of his movies or shows. It looks like he stopped acting in 1999 which is around the time I was getting more heavily into anime more than western media anyway.

As for him as a comedian, I'm not into stand-up comedy in general. My friends who like stand-up never brought him up at any point that I can remember.

Pryor was huge in the 80s and into the early 90s. The only people that missed the boat on him were those born say 95ish or later or maybe the early 90s and were small children when Pryor was still pretty big.

In the 70's too when his stand up act was really hot. I guess that is what got him noticed and led to his movies.

FF XIII is a hallway simulator.

No way. The game is subpar in many ways. First off, they should not have locked the hard and nightmare difficulties (you have to know about the cheat to unlock them from the getgo) by default.

The game wants you to farm shards/loot yet you end up inevitably leveling up as a result. Then, the game becomes a cakewalk to the point that you can just walk through levels.

Playing on Hard/Nightmare, the game is more fun, but it still feels like a bore to play. The gameplay feels bland often times. On a less important note, the graphics look really strange- it's like a PS 1.5 feel and the 2D-3D blend doesn't work well here.
