I feel like fighting a mind control Hulk who is trying to accomplish a purpose is less powerful than a standard Hulk and wouldnt start getting increasingly strong. It makes it pretty clear that The Thing only won because of his heart and determination and even had to break his arm to win still. I love this one story where the villain beats every other hero but the Thing refuses to give up.

DOJ is urging the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to change its position and tell SCOTUS that businesses can discriminate against transgender employees without violating the law.

EEOC probably doesn't play ball with this. It's a 2-1 Republican majority (2 vacancies) but one of the Republicans is on the record of defending the EEOC's opinion, but DOJ is trying to get them to flip. Though there's some talk the EEOC General Counsel might be able to sign on to DOJ's position without the support of the committee. DOJ has until Friday to prepare its argument.

If it's under the Civil Rights Act, the CRA gives a limited, enumerated, list of things you can't discriminate based on. Things not on the list include, for example, beauty, intelligence, work ethic, handedness. There is one item that is specifically excluded and that is membership in the Communist Party - the CRA says it is okay to discriminate against Communists.

Transgender status is IIRC not on the list of specifically enumerated protected traits in the CRA.

Being trans is a diagnosable medical condition. We should be protected under medical conditions. It shouldnt be about religion because its something that actually exists.

Corrik and the radical right won't condemn white nationalism because it doesn't buck the status quo at all- it actually enforces it, and as long as it only scares non-white people they won't call it terrorism. We do know in some cases.

I still think you should have to store all your guns at precinct and sign them out to use them. It stops spur of the moment rampages and gun usage in the heat of rage.

Also, it lets cops assess your well-being at the time of your pick up. You also know who exactly signed it out. They are responsible for it. And, you only have a certain time period to return it or you have a charge against you.

My father would consider that the government taking his guns away.

I think they need to do something. My idea for gun control was unpopular, but the only way I see to exact change while keeping the right to bear arms.

Its in the motivation and the application. One group opposes genocide, fascism, racism and they dont ever kill people. The other group loves and supports fascism, racism and genocide and they kill people all the time. Can you tell me which one is which based on these vague descriptions.
