Gamefreak 1/2 asses Pokemon because people buy it anyway and they can't make a good non-pokemon game to save their lives.

And I was more willing to accept worse graphics, because there were also 900+ Pokemon to code in, but since they don't even seem to be including non-dex Pokemon I wonder what the excuse is. I bet its still the same sprites from gen 6 where all the flying types look dumb too.

10+ years of super hero movies, 15+ movies, buying Fox to get Spiderman all while Avatar was it's own new IP with no help from other movies/prequels/comics/cartoon/merchandise such toys/clothes/etc.....honestly it's impressive what Avatar accomplished by itself.

Avatar was a tech demo like Wii Sports

Basically, but it was also the first movie that actually had not terrible 3D, and was still a decent movie. Like before Avatar you had crappy "Spy Kids" 3-D where you had the multi-coloured glasses and the screen was all fuzzy if you weren't wearing them.

Avengers was played in both 2D and 3D in my theatre, I don't know about other ones, but most big movies nowadays are shown in both, just for a couple extra bucks here and there.

I thought it was pretty bad. Most of the villains never get introduced and don't have speaking lines at all. You never really find out who they are.

X-Men is known for having a lot of named characters on each side, but it seems like most of the villains were just thrown in as afterthoughts.

to be fair, the movies also always have a lot of random extra mutants that never get named and you're just kind of expected to be enough of a nerd to recognize them.

Game Boy and Game Boy Color are two different consoles as are DS and 3DS

They aren't really different consoles, GBC basically just plays game boy games and like 2 games that needed higher power. Its like saying the 3DS and new 3DS are different systems. There was also the Game Boy Pocket and Game Boy Light that were just the original GB with more gimmick.

the GBA also had several versions too GBA - GBA SP - GBA Micro (and numerous different "collectors editions" of each)
And DS --> DS Lite --> DSi --> DSi XL
3DS --> 2DS --> 3DS XL --> New 3DS XL --> New 2DS XL

Plenty of Amazon games still give you like a $10 credit when you preorder.

Not to mention there's literal discounts being applied before the game ships to most titles, assuming you don't cancel your reservation. I've currently got 2 games preordered from Amazon at 48 and change without a prime account. Yesterday E3 games went up for preorder for the first time and started at the low 50s,high 40s. Like final fantasy 7 you could lock in a price of 51 if you preordered yesterday. That price may still be up, idk. And since Amazon doesn't charge until it ships, your literally putting down 0 dollars towards the purchase right now.

This - The new Pokemon games were 15$ off the pre-order during the last week or so, and tbh that's probably the best discount these games are going to get for the next decade.

That's Biology. Now go to a more abstract quantitative science where you're studying things that far less social connections or engineering. The female demographic drops off considerably and this is more apparent when you hit grad school.

Schools, tech and engineering firms heavily recruit females because of women's innate preference for more social fields.

But the prof who wrote the article is a biologist. She isn't exactly experiencing the lack of female physics students.

Now, to be fair, IQ is a measure of intelligence, and is a scale based on how you perform in regards to other people. Saying 50% of your IQ is heritable is kinda disingenuous when like 80% of people fall within the same like 20 point range. Also the source she points says we have found genes that explain about 5% of the differences in intelligence in people, and the 50% stat is not well sourced either.

The bit about Kin selection, I can definitely see that being misconstrued into a "nepotism is totally fine guys" lecture if it wasn't done properly, and even then, for someone looking for reason to get upset, it'll be there. Like if this prof isn't a particularly good prof

It's essentially an alternate ending to OoT. They just added an extra timeline in which Ganondorf kills Link. Nothing in the actual game leads to it.

This. Its basically an ending that goes on if you lose to Ganon in the final fight.

Marvel has been doing that for years though, so I don't know if its fair to blame Captain Marvel for this though, because the two movies aren't incredibly related - you can not watch Captain Marvel and not really miss anything in Avengers aside from who that blonde girl is, and you could learn that pretty easily since she's the only new character in the movie.

Every time a new Godzilla movie is made, people claim it's terrible. What do people want out of the movies that they aren't getting? For the record, I like most of the Godzilla films I've seen.

I mean none of the Godzilla movies are really "good" as much as I enjoy them.

Because it was the first DC movie to be any good

It's because The 1998 wasn't at all a Godzilla movie. It was a movie with like, big lizards and that was basically it, ripped off the name for some extra marketability.

And Godzilla is always barely in any movies, I don't get why this is always a surprise to people.

I mean, Dany winning and being a gracious ruler to bring the world into a new golden age seemed like the obvious ending in the first few seasons. That didn't end too happily

There aren't any like, supporting conflicts to keep the characters separate, so they run into each other too much, but nothing important ever happens.

Also, season 1 was just really good and season 2 was fine, just not as good.

And in case nobody wants to see him talk, Ben's upset that Jon didn't do literally everything the whole season. Basically "why isn't Jon doing the main character junk" when that isn't how GoT works. Also pretty upset Jon doesn't get to be king, because 4 episodes of "I dun want it" isn't enough for him. Apparently Bran "warging" into stuff is just doing drugs and Jon should be getting everything.

He also makes it political because why not.

Ben's ideal episode: Dany talks about socialism before Jon kills her, then Greyworm stabs Jon and fights Sansa for some reason, but Jon is still alive and gets to become king, Jon hops onto Dragon and kills Dany's armies. Apparently Varys let everyone know he's the rightful king and so Dany's armies surrender and Jon gives the kingship to Bran instead.
