Quantum bits are good at doing things like Shor's algorithm for factoring large numbers, but they also require you to set up a state, avoid all the actual physical errors that happen when you have quantum states, and there are lots of issues with actually storing memories. And it's not clear that some of these problems are "solvable" or if it will always be a downside when trying to do things with quantum computers.

My understanding is that quantum computers aren't suited to the same sorts of mundane tasks. They're not quite binary, or something to that effect.
