Do you guys know the feeling of watching/reading/playing a form of fiction and just wanting the best ending possible for a character you really, really like?

Well for me that character was Laguna Loire from FF8, and for anyone who played that game, he didn't exactly have the best ending ever.

I somehow found myself watching the ending of FF8 tonight and god damn it, I shed some tears at his portion of the ending. I know his tragedies was the key point of the rest of the game happening, but he really deserved better. Anyway, here's the part of the ending for my fellow FF players who knows what i'm talking about:

I remember a lot of good times with my godbrother and at-the-time best friend but unfortunately we grew up differently and walked down different paths of life. I also remember my parents partying like no tomorrow and slowly growing distant with my father who I now have no good relationship with. However, I will always be grateful for him taking care of me growing up since I wasn't his biological son and his strict, serious, no bullshit attitude helped shape me into the tough bastard that I am.

2004 also had some "rite of passage" moments for me such as getting into my first fist fight that I lost really bad where I tasted my own blood for the first time in my life and found myself lying on the road while everyone else in the vicinity laughed at me instead of feeling sorry for me like I initially visioned. This helped me grow some skin, realize how the world really was instead of the "happy-go-lucky" worlds that fiction portrayed to me while growing up.

2004 also gave me the first feelings of a girl's lips. All these prior moments gave me the courage and will to go out, be tough, be forward, and be confident enough to talk to girls, and more.

2004 was more rough than good to me while it was happening but at the end of the day, it was a learning experience for me that I will never ever forget and am actually thankful for. The only regret that I have is that I wish I could have had a better relationship with my father but shit happens.

Now let me clarify something, Ive been banned in the sense that they locked me from using the account completely so I had to close it and make a new one, not that I was actually put into Banned status. So if you search Sparta19, you will see it listed as Closed.

I was essentially banned though since I was not going to send them fucking scans of my IDs to prove I was not 7 years old.

I feel for Franzen and his ongoing concussion issues also, his wife came out last year and said he's degrading mentally and isn't the same person. The long term injuries that NHL players endure are very unfortunate.

It is indeed tragic and I also hope Franzen recovers to at least a stable state. I used to always shit on Crosby (and sometimes still do in the heat of the moment), but Im genuinely happy hes still able to play and function well with his own history of brain damage.

Brain damage is no joke, Im also a WWE fan and if you are too, then you probably know of unfortunate Chris Benoit and his battered brains story.

I thought Crosby was done after his last one. As much as I loved the hard hitting, fighting era of the NHL, i'm glad in a way that it is developing more into a speed and skill game and less of a violent one. It's better for the players, guys like Crosby make the game.
