Crunched some numbers for bare minimum in NY, Long Island specifically. You'd need 39 an hour and that's breaking even with gas, food, car insurance, health insurance, and rent. I can't think of anything else off the top of my head. Got an emergency? You're fucked. And this is assuming you're single, not everyone can find an SO, especially if you struggle like this.

If you live in New York or any major city you should be able to get by fine without a car. If you don't, rent and other general expenses should be much lower. Either way I can't imagine there are many areas where you can't LIVE off 35 an hour.

Though health insurance is a huge factor. Whether the job gives good health insurance or not could be the difference between having enough to live comfortably and even save some money, or barely scraping by from paycheck to paycheck.

Also if you have a family you are supporting that may not be enough.

I had one dream where I was at a funeral or something where we were all sitting around and being very serious. Well financially they did decently, which is all that really matters for the company making them. ASM2 was a disappointment, but it still made money, and it's certainly plausible that Sony could have made more money off a third ASM movie that they didn't have to share with Marvel than they made off of Homecoming.

I'm sure the movie would have been terrible but there's a good chance it would have made good money.

They're written like that all the time.

No, usually when a problem in math class is written horizontally they use the symbol. And while I certainly see the / symbol used online to indicate division, it's rare for me to see a series of different calculations written out on one line. When I think back on the times in school when a fraction symbol was used as part of a series of calculations, it would be a line that split it in half into a top and bottom that was treated separately.

I can remember seeing both this:

82(2+2)

and this:
__8__
2(2+2)

But not this:

8/2(2+2)

Seeing it in the fractional form made my brain picture the second one the first time I saw a problem like this online. This is what is happening to most people who get it wrong. It's not that we don't remember the order of operations, it's that we format it differently in our minds.

Disks like you have didn't come out until the late 80s. Before that people used bigger ones that actually were floppy. And I don't think the smaller hard ones really caught on until the early 90s. Also from what I remember, they were almost always black until the mid 90s. So my guess is the disks you found are from the late 90s or early 2000s.
