I honestly remember it a lot more fondly knowing that it was the catalyst for Avengers, one of the greatest movies ever. Plus that Sam Rockwell, he's probably the best part of the movie. | saspa 12/07/19 12:16:53 PM #1 | Nero is fun to play as, and I enjoy his devil arm, but as such the game is meant to be played as him almost exclusively and enemies are designed around him. Playing as Dante is not as fun. Which is weird because I loved playing as Dante in DMC 3. Adding Lady, Trish, and Virgil as playable characters is also great but... I kinda wish they did more with them. You play the exact same levels with every. single. character. No variety, no cutscenes, nothing. Just play the exact same area (which was already a criticism in vanilla DMC 4!) you did as Nero and Dante. I can understand Lady and Trish being in the same level, but I would have thought they'd do something unique for Virgil considering the whole Nero could be Virgil's son rumor. Like a whole story about how he met someone in fortuna and they had a child together and some stuff happened, I dunno. Because it's difficult otherwise to believe Virgil having a child with a woman, he doesn't seem the type. Just to make Nero = Virgil's son believable. --- |

It's even to the point where Capcom can change the order that some games canonically take place under. It's long been assumed that DMC2 was the latest one, now it's DMC5 with 4 taking place after 2. Without posting spoilers, I was led to understand that DMC 2 is the last one in the series in so far as most people consider it non canon so just decide to put it in the distant future of the series. --- |

But honestly it was a fun to have an action rpg with outer space themes, seeing the rose nebula, all with gorgeous cel shaded graphics. Plus it's basically like a dark cloud 3 without any of the lame mechanics like permanent weapon breaking or the stupid georama creation thing. Still some gameplay and story shortcomings but otherwise a fun game. --- |

I like his demon arm, it's proven useful in combat with a lot of enemies and opens up a whole new gameplay style. That's not to say I don't miss Dante, but this new guy is cool too. Plot is weird, not sure what's going on. I don't know if the 4 Devil May Cry games even have much of a connecting plot. Or I should say 5 DMC games (just got the 5th one in the recent black friday deal) --- |

I always wonder if hotel owners/building makers believe in those superstitions or do it just to avoid controversy with the public. And then I wonder if there is a public out there who actually find it that much of a big deal to worry about. --- |
