I dont get this. On one side they say you can be a woman and act masculine or be a man and act feminine.

Then they say if you dont conform to gender norms that's fine you are non binary. However you just said a man doesn't have to act any particular way why are you non binary or identifying as something other than a man because you wear a dress...you just got done explaining that wearing a dress has nothing to do with being a man or a woman. Pick one.

None of this makes any sense and is completely circular.

I think we would just be better off scrapping what it means to be X Y or Z and just be your fucking self. The only reason to slap a label on yourself is to conform to some societal norm it feels like.

I have no problem with trans people whatsoever, however I do think the desperate need to label oneself is dangerous overall in the long run. Labels are a means to categorize, segregate, and to "choose a side" which has historically not been great or helpful.

Let people just be who they are, labels are harmful in the long run. You have a penis and wanna wear a dress? Give'r. You have a Vagina and want to play Rugby and drink scotch? Have at it. Am I ever gonna ask you what that makes you? Nope, cause you're just being you.

You might be genuinely curious, but the poster i quoted quite obviously isn't.

...if you are genuinely curious, there's tons of material for you to read, and trans and queer people for you to listen to. Right at your fingertips. You might want to start at the Wikipedia page for gender identity, then you'll be able to branch out in whichever direction you want. A nice transgender YouTuber who makes quite good content imo is Contrapoints, but of course your mileage may vary.

If you, however, are "genuinely curious", but aren't interested in making any sort of effort to learn, then excuse me for not trusting in your sincerity.

I was interested in hearing your take and having a discussion in a discussion forum, not Googling it. If I wanted to do that I wouldn't be here posting. I was hoping to get a more focussed answer to my question rather than sifting through countless articles and videos.

And when I have a question about that game I need to go hunting on google instead of hitting shift+tab and doing a quick search in the discussion page or finding an instantly available guide because the Epic store doesn't have discussion pages or guides. Just to use one example. Steam isn't a leech that takes 30% for nothing, they offer a whole bunch of stuff Epic doesn't and it's up to the consumer to decide what matters to them. That isn't whiny.

Great podcast Peridiam. Rob seemed to really enjoy it which I actually was kinda surprised by because I felt like this was territory he treads every week on TWISH, but I guess he enjoyed talking about these moves from this particular direction.

TAR last week - what was up with that treasure finding detour? It seemed to be impossible - Chris and Brett were at it forever and couldn't find anything, and the other teams that tried it never got anything and gave up. Are impossible trick detours a thing? Were they supposed to give up? I can't imagine how this was possible at all if one team couldn't do it, when multiple teams doing it would have been vying for the same coins. You can say it's their fault for not switching sooner, but personally I would never have been able to complete the other detour and would have assumed that at some point I would eventually find the coins and stayed at the diving task.

Also does anyone know if Canadians can view the feeds this year? I think last year CBS All Access became available in Canada but we didn't get feeds, and I think I heard that would only be for a year. I haven't found confirmation though and the live feeds site says "Big Brother Live Feeds and full episodes available in US only."

I think the issue there is that they were supposed to be looking under the buoys, and not along the shore within the semi-circle the buoys created. At a point they showed a zoomed out view and highlighted the areas around the buoys in a "they're doing it wrong, see?!" kind of shot.

I'm extremely tempted to re-watch every season and do a Tier list ranking video now. Large undertaking? Yes, but I've been meaning to re-watch the series for a while now. I think my opinions would differ greatly from the general populous.

That, and I still can't digest last season. Do I love the ending or hate it? I honestly don't even know in my own head and heart how I feel about it. I know as a Player I would HATE it, and never vote for Chris. But as a viewer it was insane to watch, unpredictable, and made for one of the most shocking/entertaining finales ever.

Can you explain the math to me then?

Sure, those who have a shit ton of kids definitely cancel out couples that choose not to, but they are by no means outnumbering them.

If you have 2 kids with someone, you're simply replacing yourself when you die and no more. You level out your effect on the population. If you and your partner have no kids, you leave a -2 on the population when you die. Or just 1, -1.

Fun fact, if you and someone else have only 1 kid you're still lowering the global population by 1 (since you are two people and will die first).

Best part about having a kid hands down is when you're feeling really crappy reading social media, comment sections, and getting bummed out in general over how cynical and critical the world is about EVERYTHING they can change that in an instant.

My son gets insanely, incredibly excited and happy and full of joy when we just drive underneath an overpass.

"WE WENT UNDA DA BWIDGE!!!!!"

And you immediately crack a smile, cause that is the purest of joys and makes you really take stock. He doesn't care about anyone's opinions, he doesn't have any context for what it is or why it's there, all he knows is that he loves it and he embraces it 100%. Kids seriously can teach you some incredible life lessons if you're prepared to learn.
