A Certain Scientific Accelerator anime beated. Pretty relentlessly mediocre. Accelerator himself is generally entertaining, but there were whole episodes without him! Pretty much every character other than him and Last Order was shit, and she barely got any screentime. The whole thing that makes Accelerator interesting is his dynamic with her, so why not have her around more? Accelerator wasn't as great as he could've been either. Too much ranting about being a villain, not enough doing vaguely villainous things. He usually has such cool powers, and he doesn't really do anything cool with them here.

The villains were incredibly lame. DA was just dumb with their obsession with justice - it's a whole organization whose core idea is that the ends justify the means, and yet they HAVE no ends. They just go around murdering innocents and kidnapping girls for justice - they never say what this justice is, but they go around doing it anyway. For literally no reason. The other villains at least had motivations, but they sucked anyway. Pretty ridiculous to have villains specifically obsessed with discovering the memories of 10000 deaths. I know they wanted to fit it in to connect it to Accelerator himself, but it felt way too forced.

Also, Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler are both made by different studios. Why are you bringing them up together? The Bravely games aren't even developed by Square...

The first 30 seconds of Cerulean is fucking amazing. I'd rank the OP in the top 25 of the decade at least. Domon on the cliff is totally goddamn hype.

Kimi no Shinwa's a bit awkward. I was all ready to complain and say this belongs in the top ten, but the animation is... real low tier. The song is tops at least.

As for combat, the thing that makes combat in Ori great is that you basically focus entirely on movement. You don't have to worry about intense combat because all your attacks are homing. I love the floatiness too. It always feels quite precise to me.

It has a 6.92 on VNDB, which is, uh... pretty bad for a game that hasn't been translated yet (games usually get a big score drop after being tl'd).

I don't think I noticed the first time I watched it, but there's a great scene in TLJ where Rey is just really excited about rain. Small character scenes like that are so nice.

I completed the prologue of Hitman! Or at least I think I did! The navigation menu of this game is so unclear. It seems like there's more I can do at the ICA facility, but I guess they're just optional missions...? Not sure if I should do them or not.

Personally I'd try a couple and move on when you feel like it. Doing assassinations different ways is a big part of the game's draw.

The thing that annoys me most about the new posting box is that your text is indented from the left side for some reason. Like, why? What's the point? I'm mostly happy with all the other changes.

What Remains of Edith Finch is very good! It's my favorite of the walking simulators I've played. Has great variety and compelling stories.

Ori has some similarities to Dust, yeah. I prefer Ori, though.
