Out of the four of them, I probably watch Pat's stuff the most, just because I find him funny (especially when he's got someone to bounce his "crazy asshole" stuff off of, like his girlfriend, Paige/Peach), and most of the stuff he plays catches my interest. Still, I get that people find him to be abrasive, and I can respect that.

While I really like Woolie, I'm just not that into fighting games and can't get into most of them, so I don't watch most of his stuff. The last LP he did that I watched was the RE2 remake, and I think Pat being there helped a lot.

Matt... I like "Wha Happun?", but beyond that, none of his other solo stuff has appealed to me much. I suppose I could give his LP of the Sonic games a shot. Still, the fact that a lot of shit that has come out about the break-up of SBF seems to cast him in a hugely negative light doesn't help.

And Liam is Liam. I watched his playthroughs of the Kingdom Hearts games, and some of his other streams, but I think the last one I really was interested in was the TWEWY run. And I don't think he's been streaming much lately, anyway.

I still don't understand the meme about Whitney being hard. Don't remember having any trouble with her the first time I played GSC.

While Clefairy was easy enough, Miltank had this habit of catching people off guard. It's fast, decently bulky, can screw you up with Attract (since your starter, more often than not, was gonna be Male), and hits just hard enough to be a problem. Plus, if Rollout got going, you were gonna have a bad time, and it could heal reliably enough with Milk Drink. Yeah, there were ways around it - a Ghost type only had to worry about Rollout, and I remember a Machop being available for trade - but it wasn't always easy. Then HG/SS gave Miltank "Scrappy" to remove the Ghost counter.

But after my last SoulSilver run, I think she's not quite as hard as she was in GSC. That might be because it's almost trivially easy to get the coins for a Dratini, and as long as you can Paralyze or put Miltank to sleep, you can just Dragon Rage it twice. Honestly, Bugsy's Scyther gave me a lot more trouble (I started with Totodile), because the combination of Technician and Quick Attack (made worse if it got a Focus Energy off) put a lot of hurt on my team.

After a while, Miroku and Sango became pro wrestling commentators. Sango forgot she was a warrior and every Naraku henchman had those wasps that negated Miroku's power.

Sadly, that's a thing that happens in a lot of anime. The characters who are competent fighters, but not the main characters, end up doing play-by-play outside of the occasional time they can shine, either because they're outclassed by the things they're fighting (Sango, I guess?), or because their powers get negated or don't work on that enemy (Miroku). Or they've always been useless (Shippo).

What is Snowball or the Max things?

Snowballing is where something starts to get a lot of momentum and eventually goes out of control and becomes nigh unstoppable. So, for example, a Gyarados with Moxie (+1 Atk whenever it knocks out a Pokemon) that has the chance to set up a Dragon Dance (+1 Attack, +1 Speed) will start to grow out of control after a kill or two, because by then it's got +3 Attack. At that point, unless you've got something that can outspeed it or survive one hit and crush its face in return, it's gonna stomp anything that gets sent out, except maybe - big maybe - the beefiest physical walls.

While X and Y are still pretty meh in terms of difficulty, there was a lot of things the game did, especially conceptually, that don't get enough credit.

Pre-Op? Yeah, that seems like a good idea to me. That would also apply if a trans woman is hooking up with a lesbian (who might not be interested in their feminine penis), or a trans man hooking up with a gay man or straight woman.

Post-Op? While I still think it's probably something that should be brought up in a long-term relationship (especially if the other party wants kids), I wouldn't judge if it wasn't brought up during a one-night stand or something similar. Though I also don't know how viable that might be for trans men, since... I don't exactly keep track of the advances in the creation of prosthetic dongs.

Scorpion, NCIS: Los Angeles, and the remakes of both Hawaii Five-0 and MacGyver, are all in the same universe.

The guys from Scorpion went to Hetty (from NCIS: LA) for help in tracking down a painting that was stolen from an art museum.
Callen and Sam (from NCIS: LA) help the Five-0 track down a suspect in one of their cases, and then Danny Williams and Chin Ho Williams (from Hawaii Five-0) go to LA to help try and stop a smallpox outbreak.
And the team from MacGyver end up going to Hawaii to help the Five-0 with the relief efforts after an earthquake, while also stopping Chinese intelligence soldiers from stealing data.

There's apparently also a Magnum P.I/Hawaii Five-0 crossover coming up this season, but since I'm 99% sure that was the deal with the originals, I didn't include it.

I haven't seen it acknowledged in this topic, so forgive me if it was already stated, but you can't just install ear parts and expect the previously deaf person to work like normal. If they had hearing before it's one thing, but a person born death, or a person that lost their hearing very early on in life and having grown without it, can't process sound in the way you or I can.

Their brains have diminished capacity to give meaning to sounds, or to tune sounds out. It'd be like getting high powered static radio 24/7.

Not saying they're right about cultural "genocide", but it is a valid reason to not want to suddenly gain a new sense.

There was an episode of New Amsterdam about this. A girl got the implants because she wanted to hear her girlfriend's voice, but she couldn't handle all of the other sounds around her. It ended with her admitting that she was grateful to have been able to hear what her partner sounded like, but everything else was so overwhelming that she was constantly freaking out, and she eventually had it removed.

Honestly, considering the guy was drunk and with his (also drunk) friends, I'm not sure if the victim telling him that she was trans before his friend could blurt it out would have changed the outcome very much.
