Howdy yall. Hope the holiday week is going nicely for everyone! As an update, it looks like my dad will get discharged tonight. Theyre convinced the strokes can be linked to his diabetes and (poor) diet. Theyre going to be sending a dietician to him weekly to monitor stuff.

I just hope he actually decides to take care of himself and eat better now. :/ It could have been much worse so Im at least thankful for that.

I'm sure he will, when my mom had a heart attack 3 1/2 years ago, she was able to quit smoking at the doctor's insistence, having a heart attack/stroke can be a good wake up call

it was Arkane Studios' (Dishonored, Prey) very first game in 2002! First person WRPG. It got a pretty good reception but to play it these days you'll need a fan patch called Libertatis.

Also FFXIII is pretty fun. Love its combat, personally. Hope you manage to snag it

The more you know, admittedly, I always thought Dishonored was their first game...but that's because I really wasn't paying attention to what studio did what before like...2012 due to me not really getting interested in that sorta thing at the time, before then it was just "Cool, this game looks interesting, time to try it!" haha

And yeah, I played a bit of FF13 years ago, but never beat it, not because I didn't like it, but because I got distracted, and by the time I thought about getting back to it, I had moved on to the current gen consoles and...yeah, FF13 wasn't ported to those, luckily the Steam versions exist, it's just always been a case of me having the money, and not having a new game coming up, or it being within a price range I found worthwhile for a game its age , the conditions will luckily be met...if I have enough spending money left over after the essentials XD

For whatever reason, Spyro completely skipped my mind at first, so thanks for that suggestion. I ended up making a little Playstation-Direct type playlist for her, with 23 different game trailers/teasers/previews, and that one got a thumbs up from her (13 thumbs up, 3 maybes by the end of it). Already got her a few games, but now her guardians have a better idea of what to look for.

Personally, my biggest surprise what that she gave a thumbs down to Hat in Time :(

Oof, I have only seen gameplay of it, but it honestly looks pretty interesting, just haven't had the time, or the money, since RPGs are usually what I buy when I do buy games

Definitely an interesting way to go about showing the games off though, kudos to your creativity

Yep, that's going on the list. They mentioned getting her the first game, and the sequel is supposed to be better. Got a list of about 10 games for them to review so far (Jurassic World Evolution, DQ Builders 2, DQ 11, Ni No Kuni 1, Knack 2, Cat Quest, Lego City, Lego Worlds, Lego Star Wars, Spiderman, Ratchet&Clank)

Jeez...probably going to be absent from much of this topic now after coming back and wanting to be around after missing the summer sale. My dad is in the hospital...had a stroke around 5am this morning. If I don't pop back in or help with the editing, thats why. Just going to play something to get my mind at ease and then head to the hospital once he's out of the ER and admitted to a room. :\

Not really, it's already a collaborative effort. I personally haven't kept the Google Doc properly updated in over 5 years. I also rarely create a topic other than the first and the last.

Whoever wants to create the topic can go at it, honestly.

Yeah, I kinda noticed that too...honestly, even when it comes to gifting keys, I really only do it because I get so many from my humble bundles/monthly sub, and I'd rather see those keys go to people who can use em than just throwing them on my steam account to rot, never to be played because they aren't exactly my thing

I've just been on an FF binge due to the FF7R hype train, as much flak as FF13 gets, that trilogy, and FF3 are the only FFs I have yet to beat, so aside from my "play all FF games I have leading up to 7R" marathon, I'm hoping that those are on sale, so I can finally say I've beaten every FF XD

Speaking of which...they finally pushed out an update for RE2 on steam so I could get that achievement for Jill's letter and now I have my 100% back again. ^_^

Admittedly, I haven't really played the RE games, since I really only started giving horror games a chance a few years back, I do have the REmake and Code Veronica X on the ps4 though, so I'll probably start there XD

I've participated in the past few, but my family and I are currently (barely) getting by just on my income, because my wife is really dragging her feet on getting a new job since we've moved to Maryland.

Yup, know the feeling, for 3 years I've been homeless, only just now getting a place a few weeks ago, so while I'd love to be able to give back more than just leftover keys...I really can't haha
