Did you do the paralogue with Seteth/Flayn about protecting some holy monument on a beach? I don't know if it's only for the Golden Deer or happens in all three routes.

It happens in all three, but it doesn't really clarify what they are. Just that they're father and daughter

Bernie/Seteth support seems to imply Seteth is actually St. Citothol but it doesn't really get more clear than that.

I was not on board with this list. Flayn is awesome, and she's probably not a child (I have been going through so many routes/supports to try to see what her deal is, I'm guessing she's a manakete but no one outwardly says it??)

but yeah as long as Bernie no 1, we good. I had her in all three playthroughs and she kinda sucked in all of them no matter what class I made her and I love her.

Black Eagle path finished. Yeah, definitely feel like that may have not been the best one to start with, feels like a lot is left out and that it's more of a "bonus" route. A bunch of major characters and factions just completely left out. Still, it's where my heart took me.

A bunch of major characters are left out of all the storylines. I've beat the game twice and I still have no idea whats going on with at least half the game's mysteries.

t's also one of the best parts of the game. You can of course skip through no problem but there's a lot there you might miss.

Skip through "no problem" might be a little disingenuous given how crazy the load times are (and you have to load things you're not interested in before skipping them)

Ok, so I beat blue lions. Married Annette, who also didn't have a nose in her marriage picture. Do all the characters lose their nose or is it just the ones I want to marry? I'm probably going to load a past save and marry her dad too, just because thats a ship that makes zero sense.

My theory of "first couple to get an A support gets a pair ending" didn't work this time because I paired Lorenz and Mercedes first, but she got married to Silvain, so if you're trying to get a paired ending just be weary of getting those second A ranks.

Time to do Edelgard's route! Then I can finally take a break from this game.

Thanks to my awful mortgage site, I ended up paying my mortgage twice last month. Instead of fixing the mistake I decided to just live on beans and rice and have 0 fun last month so that this month I could go HOG WILD and use that money to invest in my house or overall personal value.

So I potentially have an update. Nothing new in terms of conversation, but some information that may or may not be relevant that I didn't really think about before this.

I just spent some time talking to a good friend of both of ours that has known us both since before we started dating, and she brought up something that I also briefly mentioned to my girlfriend that I probably shouldn't have let be dismissed so easily.

What if there is some sort of prevailing mental health issue here? I don't mean to trivialize in the sense that I think, "because she wants change something must be wrong", but the signs are there. She enjoys being there so much because of family and because of the support she gets. Here, the support isn't there from anyone but me. Her home life isn't the greatest, without going into too much detail, and there are issues there. So when she goes back to Portugal, those issues disappear and suddenly she is showered with support from a dozen people that she only really receives from me and a few close friends here.

I brought up the idea of seeking help, talking to a professional. I did this early on in the stages of our conversation yesterday morning. Our mutual friend then independently also suggested that as the very first thing to do in her talk with me. My girlfriend is adamant that it isn't that kind of issue because she doesn't feel it that way and just feels better there, but I don't think it could make it worse, could it?

The issue now, though, is that I feel like I'd have to backtrack if I was serious about this. To go from, "Hey, I'll try this out", to, "Hey, maybe you should talk to someone before we make any decisions", is going to feel like I've changed my mind about things and don't believe what she believes she's feeling.

Overthinking.

Just do it man, your life can either be interesting and different or dull and safe. You don't get to have both, and the opportunity to explore the former comes up like maybe a max of 5 times per lifetime. If you have a good head on your shoulders you can make it no matter where you end up.

I'm up to the trailer point in post timeskip Blue Lions, and so far, it's had the exact same maps as golden deer (besides a few paralogue missions, which all took place on the same map)

So so far it's pretty safe to say that map superiority between houses isn't really a thing (or is completely negligible since there's only like five maps post trailer point IIRC)

I've been thinking about the Master classes and how I don't really like how they were implemented, basically you have to master another class that has nothing to do with how you want to build your character and your reward is just a horse version of that class.

I think at that point in the game, learning new skills is a little redundant and less rewarding, Like I already have a bow focused assassin that can use lances, why do I need to teach her how to ride a horse and use axes?

My idea, that they are free to steal is make ultra versions of a class based off of challenges like Assassin>Reaper = get 100 crits Grappler>Fist Master K.O. 100 units unarmed Sniper>Super Sniper Attack 100 units who can't counter etc. It would be a much better way to feel like we're going toward a goal and less like we're forced to level up units in skills we never plan to have them use.
